My eyes opened with a jolt. I looked around to see that I was still in the room known as my sister's. I closed my eyes in relief. "Oh thank Zalgo," I said a collapsed back on the bed. I looked outside at the darkness. "I slept till nighttime?"
"Yep." I jumped and looked over to see Ben looking at me from my doorway.
"H-how long h-have you been standing there?"
He laughed. "You sound like Toby or Seven studdering like that."
"Who?"
He shook his head. "You'll meet them later. They live at the mansion."
I cocked my head. "And you're so sure that I'll be at the mansion?"
He shrugged. "You might be, you might not be. You're right, I can know for sure."
"How long were you standing there?"
"Not long. Jeff wanted to have you meet some more people who've come over."
I got up, my feet numb and walked slowly to the doorway where Ben was. "Okay."
We walked down the stairs and into the living room. When I walked inside I was created by a man in a mask say to Jeff, "so this is Sal's sister," and Jeff nodded. Beside the man in the mask stood a man in a dark orange hoodie.
I sighed and rolled my eyes. "We got a Masky and a Hoodie."
Ben stared at me. "Can you read minds now or something?"
I looked at him and shrugged. "So what you're telling me is that this man in a mask is called Masky, and this man in a hoodie is called Hoodie?"
Ben looked at me and nodded in surprise.
I looked at Masky and Hoodie. "Sorry if I offended you."
Hoodie and Masky shook their heads. "You didn't offend us," the man known as Masky assured me.
"Okay," I whispered. "Um, well, nice to meet you. I'm not very good at, um, being polite. I guess," I said holding my hand out for them to shake. Masky shook my hand first, then Hoodie hesitantally shook my hand then backed up again. "Not much of a talker, are ya," I asked him, "or are you mute?"
"I can talk, I'm, just...." he trailed off.
"He's a bit shy," Masky finish the sentence for his friend.
I nodded. "I can be, too."
Hoodie sat down on the couch. "So I hear you had your first kill?" he asked my softly and I nodded.
"Cool," Masky said. "Who was it?"
"My mom's newest boy toy." I rolled my eyes. "Who was yours?"
Masky sat down beside Hoodie. "I can't even remember."
I nodded. "I can understand that. Lose count over time." Masky nodded in agreement with me.
"What exactly do you want me to call you?" Masky asked me.
Before I had time for me, Alex, to answer, she did. "Shyanne."
Masky nodded, "okay."
I got up. "I'm gonna go back to bed." I walked up my room and fell down, luckily onto my bed.
"Weak ankles?"
I turned around. "Ben! Why are you following me?"
Ben shrugged. "I was bored."
I looked at him sternly. "Go away!"
"Okay, okay," he said and touched a power circurt, disappearing.
I layed back down on my bed again, closing my eyes and going back to sleep.
