'This is outrageous my lord. you're being too soft on these new laws. what about us? we do all the work and now you're demanding that we pay taxes and have are pay decreased'

shouted the jackal in the middle of the hall with all the other advisors cheering their words of support with Shadow being stern as Sonic was sitting next to him.

'infinite, the way you have the laws now are petty and disgraceful. you even all have the audacity to throw children in slavery just because you say the slaves are dwindling, so why not have them abolished completely and give them all a better life to live with stable homes and jobs as servants'

'but that would mean we would have to pay for them a salary making more funding leave the treasury because they would be paid as workers'

'that's why I am reducing all of you to be paid less and you all to pay taxes considering the riches you have had over the years and as for the poor they will be paying none till next year so they can able to stable themselves'

shadow knew infinite would be angered by his new laws but didn't care for his complaints as he wanted to take back the control of the empire and make things better for his subjects however, he had to deal with the advisors that has been use to their ways since shadow took the empire.

the jackal glared at sonic thinking it was his fault for shadow wanting to be involved with the decision that he has made for the last year.

'as emperor I have made the new laws and you as my advisors should see to them that they are done and if there not then I will have you fired and all hanged for defying me!' shadow roar into the large room with all of them going silent from his words.

the emperor words are finial, that is what everyone knows and if shadow say it then it must be done with the only thing left was infinite to accept shadow command.

infinite bowed his head as he had no choice but to obey and said 'yes my lord' as he pulled his head back up after shadow stood and left the room with sonic.

'that blue rat, he is the reason for the emperors change of heart.....I should find a way to get rid of that one before he mess anything else up for me'

later:

shadow was in his office working but to silver and rouge he was more like pouting since last night and wondered if it was to do with the blue teen that has been avoiding him though out the day.

Silver nudged rouge's shoulder to tell her to talk to him as he might talk to her about it but shadow ask the white bat a question before she could.

'rouge be honest with me. what would you do if you partner is mad at you for having lovers in the past?'

'well it would depend if my partner would mention them around me and if he did I would be pissed off, my lord'

rouge was being honest like he ask however it seem to have put shadow in a worst mood as he sigh and lay his head on the desk with rouge asking him if he has mention them to sonic.

'no I didn't, it's sonic that keeps mentioning them and now he has been in a mood with me since we came out of the office yesterday'
