Chapter 41

After Hope's boyfriend left, she was bored and started spending time with Josie and Lizzie. Everything was going well until Landon showed up, thinking he was going to annoy her again. Hope tried to ignore him, but it turned out he needed help finding information about his birth parents. Feeling a slight sense of pity, she told him to find a family friend who could assist him in finding his birth mother.

Hope was annoyed at first,but then felt pity for Landon."So he wants to find his mother?"

Caroline frowned and said,"Is it good idea to let him leave like thatt, I mean he is underwatch?"

Klaus,Elijah, Kol and Marcel nodded and agreed with Caroline.

Josie felt the same way and gave him an enchanted locator. If he ever needed help, he just had to press the gem on his bracelet, and it would let them know his location. Three days later, Josie approached Hope, saying, "Hope, Landon's locator just lit up. It seems he's in trouble."

Alexander muttered,"Not surprising he got into trouble."

Hope, Lizzie and Josie nodded.

While Caroline rubbing her forehead muttered,"Again more and more problems."

Surprised, Hope took Josie to Caroline and explained the whole situation. Caroline sighed and said, "You should have come to me before sending him anywhere. Now, where is he?"

"I had placed a tracking spell on him, and it showed he is in Kansas," Hope replied. Caroline nodded, grabbed her car keys, and said, "You both are coming with me."

Hope and Josie looked at each other and nodded. It took some time to reach Landon's mother's place. As they parked the car, they found Alex leaning against the gate, smiling in their direction. Caroline said, "I called him, telling him about the little situation with Landon."

Hope smiled at seeing her boyfriend back and went to hug him. Josie didn't want to waste time and explained everything about Landon to Alex.

Alex still had his familiar watching Landon and said, "It seems someone is after them." Without wasting time, Alex took Hope, Josie, and Caroline and apparated to the spot. Caroline entered the room but felt a gun behind her. She said, "I'm looking for Landon Kirby." Seylah asked, "And who the hell are you?" Josie answered, "We are from his classmates."

Seylah, an attractive woman with long, dark brown hair and hazel-brown eyes, wearing a dark leather jacket and boots, studied Hope as she smiled and said, "You must be Hope." Hope was surprised to hear this woman recognize her, realizing Landon must have told her everything. Seylah added, "So you're the headmaster of a private school for supernaturals."

Davina commented,"So this is Landon's mother."

Klaus, Elijah, Kol and Marcel took note of her immediately.

Alex was ready to give Landon a chance,but he was not sure if it would work since he can see Landon has a very strong obsession with Hope.

Alex now knew the organization that was using Malivore was Triad, and he was pretty sick of the things they did.

After hearing everything from Landon, Caroline turned to Seylah and said, "Well, now you know about us. All we know about you is that you gave birth to Landon, he says a monster attacked you, and now there's some sort of fake gas company coming after you two. So, I think it's time you start filling in some blanks."

Hope added, "Don't think about lying. My boyfriend is a mind reader."

Seylah was surprised to hear the mind reader part and realized she had no other way. She sat down and explained, "When I finished my service in the army, I was recruited by an intelligence organization. The States sounded like a better life. I didn't know what I was signing up for, but soon I learned that beings like you exist in this world. My job was very much like yours, to keep the supernatural world a secret. Whenever a monster went bump in the night and risked exposing the truth, I tracked it down and brought it back to headquarters."
