I guess you could say that at some point I got used to being chased by a psychotic killer. Given the fact how the Ghost Face had repeatedly tried to kill me, it didn't feel safe in Woodsboro. Staying there would make me escaping the killer for the 6th time more likely.

Sam, Tara, Mindy, Chad, me. The people who survived. At some point back in Woodsboro, I debated whether dying quickly would be better from waiting to get attacked.

I now know we wouldn't. I have six huge scars on my back. Two on my stomach. One on my cheek, and one on my upper lip. I almost died. I would have, if I didn't fight back the way I did.

After all, death isn't scary. Not death itself. But the pain and the perspective of dying so young, that's scary.

But that's all in the past. I don't hide my scars, they show that I was strong enough to live. I moved to New York, along with my friends.

I was okay. Or so I thought.

October 31st, 2023.

I adjust my carefully styled wig and make sure my dress isn't wrinkled again. While finishing putting make up on, I glance at the bathroom clock and curse quietly. I had five minutes to leave the apartment with Tara, before Sam may come back.

I quickly spray the lovely scented perfume behind my ears, on my neck and on my wrists. I make sure my red lipstick isn't smudged and run out of the bathroom, grabbing my shoes.

"That's some effort!" I hear a voice. I spin around immediately, alarmed and realise it was just Tara. I was definitely paranoid.

"Come on, we have to go, Sam's going to be here any minute" I point out, jumping around trying to get the shoe on.

It didn't take long for us to get to the party. We met a weird looking guy on the way, who Tara knew. When we got there, I immediately split up with her, after making sure she was okay on her own.

"Hi, Y/n, how you doing?" I immediately spot Mindy, who was the one who greeted me

"Hey Mindy" I smile "Hi Anika. I'm okay, I still worry every time I leave my bed."

"I get that. But hey! The chance of this happening to us again is unlikely. Cool costume by the way, I love Cruella."

I thanked her and moved on, saying hi to a bunch of different people. I spot Chad rather quickly and walk up to him.

"Hi Chad" I grin softly and look over to the guy standing next to him "Hi Chad's friend"

"Y/n, I was just looking for you, you look great by the way. I wanted to introduce you. This is Ethan Landry, my roomie."

"Hi Chad's roomie, it's nice to meet you" I smile lightly and shake his hand. He was dressed in a knight's costume and though it was handmade, it still looked better than half of the other people's expensive choices.

Anika called out to Chad and I was left alone with the guy.

"Do you want to get something to drink?" I ask and he nods. We make our way to the kitchen and I grab a lemonade. I sniff it to make sure there's no alcohol in it and look for particles, just incase some idiot decided to put pills in there. Satisfied with having found nothing, I poured myself a cup.

"You can drink, if you want" I gestured towards a bottle of tequila and took a sip of the pink lemonade

"I am more than good with drinking non alcoholic beverages" he answers and I chuckle lightly in response

"Not a fan of alcohol?"

"I just don't like tequila. Or vodka. Or most bitter and sour things."

I nod and get a better look at him. He had really nice hair. It was curly and generally looked good. And he had nice eyes.

"Cheers" he took a cup and we made a toast for absolutely nothing. I was glad I didn't have to drink alcohol in order to keep talking with him.

We heard a male scream and decided to check what was happening.

As I made my way through the living room, I noticed Sam. Shit. I thought. I was screwed.

When Sam noticed me she furrowed her brows and focused on getting Tara out of that house.

I walk out after them, Chad, Anika and Mindy and notice Ethan behind me.

"Sorry, arguing is kinda their thing, I'll understand if you want to go back home, I can drive you" I suggest, but Ethan shakes his head

"It's fine, but thank you for the offer. I'd like to stay with you if possible though. You seem like a really... Nice person"

I nod and smile thankfully. We speed up a bit to catch up with the others, when we witness some random girls accusing Sam of murder.

"Ethan, could you please hold onto this for me?" I ask and hand him my cup. He nods confused and watches as I go over to those girls, making sure I won't be recorded by any of them.

The leading girl looks like a total bitch. She had no business in Sam's life. I walk over and take the phone of the girl who was recording and smash it on the ground. The attention was on me, but they couldn't record everything anymore.

I grab the leading girl's arm and when she turns towards me, I punch her in the nose. Blood quickly starts gushing out of it and while the whole group screams and tries to harm me, I trip two of them over and the other three decides to retreat.

Soon enough they escape, cursing me out. I come back to Ethan and take my cup back

"Thank you for holding on to that" I smile and casually take a sip.

Sam mutters a thank you to me and everyone makes their way to our apartment. Me and Ethan stayed at the back of our group.

We chatted a bit, got to know eachother. He seemed dorky at first, but weirdly enough, after a while I saw him slip up a few times. For a few seconds, he would get confident and would cover it up right after.

I paid no attention to it, but couldn't help but notice it. It seemed weird, to say the least. You would think that he would try to seem confident, rather than the opposite. It was kind of like he wanted to seem less threatening.

It kinda worked. He didn't seem like someone who could hurt me, or anyone else.

Boy, was I wrong.

The next chapter will be a timeskip towards the end of the movie, since I want to be able to write down some of my own ideas, enjoy<333
