Amanda's Diary

CHAPTER ONE

           It was still dark when I woke up I couldn't really get a good night sleep because I was so anxious and excited I’m starting a new school today and I'm officially an SS1 student with that realization I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear I stretch my hand searching for my phone on the bed when I found it I checked the time Its few minutes past five well at least I have enough time to prepare for school

Since junior WEAC exams are written during second term of JSS 3 i had to wait for other class to finish their third term before I can start another session after months of waiting I get to start school today I’m so excited over school I laughed at the thought of that 

After saying my prayers i stood up from my bed to start preparing for school which start by 8 am though I've to be in school before 8 I still have a lot of time to get ready I stood at the full length mirror in my room and stare at myself I turned round and I can't help but smile puberty has been good to me I can easily spot some difference between now and few months back this brake from school really helped after staring at myself I turned and head for the bathroom
By the time I was done with my morning routine it was already after six I walked up to my wardrobe and pick out my already ironed uniform  which comprises of a white short sleeve shirt and an Ankara skirt that stop a little bit above the kneel, a burgundy colour  baret , a pair of white socks and white shoes I quickly dress up everything fits perfectly my hair was weave back I just did some baby hair curls at the front and put on my baret I picked up my bag which was already arranged spray some deodorant apply lip gloss and I was done I do look good I must say I wore a big smile and step out from my room

I saw my mum coming out of the kitchen with two plate of food heading to the dining from afar I can tell it's boiled yam and egg sauce it's smell so nice

"Good morning mum" I greeted her I walk towards the dining

“Good morning baby how was you night” she replied

“It was fine thank you”

After she drop the food on the dining table she turned and check me out I can see the approval in her eyes and the smile she was giving me makes me know she is satisfied with my uniform

“You look so good baby I can't believe you are already in your senior year”

“Me too I'm so excited” I said smiling from ear to ear

My mum couldn't help but laugh at me I won't blame her I will laugh at me too because we all know it won't take up to a week for me to start grumbling and complaining don't get me wrong I like school just not the studying part

After she was done laughing she ask me to go call my siblings for breakfast I have a 17 year old elder brother who is very annoying and a 13 year old  younger sister who is supposed to be my roommate but always end up in my mum's room well at least I have enough space

I dropped my bag on the chair and head over to my brother's room when I got to the door i raised my hands to knock at the door but stop mid-way I place my ear on  the door there was no noise that's strange if Daniel is up he will be playing music from his boom box so I opened the door silently luckily it's was not locked when I got in I saw Daniel still sleeping and the time is 14 minutes after 7 ah what a lucky day it's time for pay back I went over to his dressing table i pick up his bottle water I slowly walk up to him and empty the bottle on his bare chest and face he immediately jump up from the bed in an attack mode looking from left to right to find the culprit the scenes was so funny I couldn't hold my laughter anymore that’s when he realized he was faced the wrong direction he slowly turned his back and face me and narrowed his eye it didn't take long for him to figure out what happened with the bottle of water still in my hand immediately I saw that he wants to attack I quickly shouted for my mum and he froze then I said quickly

“If you touch me I will tell mummy you are still sleeping and we all know mummy hates tardiness”
With that he looked at the wall clock in his room and said

“Shit”

He tried to rush out from the bed and fell down hard he stood up immediately and rush to the bathroom behaving as if it didn't hurt or I didn't just witness him falling from the bed

“Well aren’t I lucky today”
I said to myself laughing

It's not every day  you gets to see your enemy pay for their crimes I know there will be repercussion but I’m going to enjoy my victory  while it last
I step out from my brothers room into the dining my sister chikiama and dad were already sited

“Hey dad good morning”
My dad who was trying to knot his tie turns to me and smile

“Morning princess how are you and why are you smiling so early in the morning what did you do”

he gave me the knowing eyes well what can I say I'm my father's daughter we know each other very well mum always says I'm his twin

I joined them I sat across my mum she handed me my food and asked of my brother I had to cover up for him just this time I don't want to see mum upset

“He is dressing up” I told her

Then we said our prayers and begin to eat

It didn't take long for us to finish and Daniel is still not down mum package his food but I'm sure he won't carry it because according to him he's too big to carry food to school

By the time he came down we were already prepared to go dad always drop us in school on his way to work while mum pick us up on her way back from work

Dad works in an oil company while mum owns a supermarket

I ran and sat at the front sit in the car where Daniel likes to sit it's not my fault he came late he sat at the back seething at me dad is here so he can't create a scene I row my eyes at him and whisper grow up to him I'm lucky my dad is here if not i would have been fighting for my life I put on my sit belt and took selfies in the car with my brother at the back sulking and posted it on IG and wrote

First day in a new school and class GHA be nice to your girl and tap post.
