A/N: this story is a bit cracked, i couldn't focus on a single plot it seems 🥲

The end of year exams had just ended, and everyone felt like a weight had been lifted off their shoulders. Now, Ae and Pete we're cuddled up in bed ready to doze off at any second. Pete turned to face Ae in bed, wanting to ask something before going to sleep.

"Ae, are you awake?" Pete asked in a whisper. Ae hummed in response and wiped his eyes before looking at Pete, signaling that he was listening. "Well, are you doing anything before school starts again?"

This question caught Ae by surprise because he actually was. "Oh, I guess so. I was going to ask you tomorrow if you wanted to come with me back to my house?" Ae asked.

Pete's face lit up as he proposed himself up on his elbow. "I want to go! Will your niece be there? I miss her so much, Ae."

Ae smiled and hugged Petes head, pulling it into his bare chest. "My niece is traveling for her vacation, so she won't be there."

Pete frowned making Ae smile at the pouty boy. "But she'll be back soon, and we can visit again. Besides, as long as I can pinch your cheeks like this I can wait an eternity to see her again!" Ae said, teasing Pete by grabbing at his cheeks. Pete just stayed frowning. "I miss her, but i know she'll be back soon. We can visit her again, okay?"

"Okay.. well, when are we going? I haven't seen Mom in a while either!"

"I was thinking the end of this week, hm? Is that okay?" Ae asked while closing his eyes as he was feeling tired again.

Pete nodded his head "Of course, if it's with Ae I can go whenever"

"I love you, Pete"

"I love you too"

The week quickly went by and the couple spent the days inside or meeting up with friends, but now they were getting ready to go to Ae's hometown. Ae put the suitcase in the back of Pete's car and went back up to the apartment to check on Pete.

"Do you have everything?" Ae asked.

"Mm. I put everything in the suitcase." Pete was kneeling on the floor. "I dropped this bracelet and it broke, so I'm trying to clean it up before we leave."

"Oh, do you need help?" Ae asked.

"It's okay, Ae, theres only a few beads left." Pete responded. Ae just nodded his head.

Pete looked at Ae's ankles, noticing they were a bit more exposed.

"Ae, did you get new pants? They look a bit shorter than your other ones."

"Hm... these are old pants, maybe they shrunk in the dryer?"

"Or.." Pete said while slowly getting up.

"Or what..!" Ae responded with a grin on his face.

Pete stepped close to Ae, making him a bit shy but overlooking how close they were. They made eye contact and Pete said "Ae! We're at the same level!" He put his hand flat on top of his head to compare his and Ae's height. "You grew!"

"What?" Ae said still grinning "you can't mess with me about this stuff, Pete!" He said while nudging Pete's shoulder.

"I'm not, look!" Pete said as he moved them to stand in front of the tv. The reflection showed that they were the same height.

"Oh my god. When we come back, I'm visiting pond right away! Who's ai'shorty now, hmmm?" Ae said as Pete hugged him.

A few months had gone by and the boys were now in their last year of school. They were eating lunch together at the cafeteria, waiting for their next classes.

"Ae, isn't it crazy that we graduate soon?" Pete asked.

"I know... I'm kind of excited! We can... you know, start doing more of our own thing." Ae responded

"I dont even know where I want to work yet." Pete said.

"Do you need help deciding? Internships start soon so you should decide." Ae shoved a spoonful of his lunch into his mouth and took a drink of the iced water he had. Then, he looked up at Pete who seemed distracted. Ae grabbed his hand. "It's okay, Pete. It's not going to come by that fast. Just give it some thought, once we graduate you don't have to start working right away." He said.

"Ae... do you want to stay in Thailand?" Pete asked.

"Well, I guess it comes down to the opportunities. Do you want to stay in Thailand?"

When Ae got no response, he grabbed Pete's hands into his own. "Pete, wherever and whenever we want to work, we should talk about it! You are capable of a lot, and I'm willing to work harder to follow you, okay? Something like this won't affect us if we approach it the right way." Ae said. Pete looked up at him and smiled, and Ae smiled back. Then, he got up and walked over to sit on Pete's side of the table. He wrapped his arm around his shoulder and kissed Pete's head, now that he was a bit taller than him. "We can talk about this anytime, right? So whenever your comfortable and want to... we can have that conversation."

Pete grabbed onto Aes waist in an attempted hug despite their awkward position.

"Ae, you make me so happy! I really want to spend the rest of my life with you" Pete said while burying his head in Aes chest.

"Oh god you're going to have to watch me get old." Ae chuckled in a shy way.

Pete looked up with a grin that made his eyes turn smaller and his cheeks get puffier. He put his hand on Aes jaw and kissed him. They both closed their eyes as their surroundings and everything else faded away. They only loved each other and they would for the rest of their life's.

When they finally stopped kissing, Pete softly hit Aes shoulder. "Why did you hit puberty so late, I have to reach to kiss you now..." Pete said.

Ae laughed. "I'm only a few inches taller than you!" Ae said as he and Pete picked up their food trays and dropped them off at a trash can. They walked off holding hands, onto their next class that would be another step toward their future. Their future together.
