Rianna's POV

What was happening?

It had been hours. Hours of me pacing about the room frantically. Waiting for some news.

But there was no word. No sign. Nothing. I couldn't take it anymore. This was too much. I had to know.

Just as I was about to leave the waiting room, the door opened and there he stood.

The look on his face said it all. I backed away from him like he was a monster. Which he probably was, giving me the worst news of my life.

"What happened?" I couldn't help asking. Although deep down I already knew the answer. But there was a little hope that maybe I was wrong. Like I had been so many times lately. Maybe I was wrongly interpreting his expression. Maybe just maybe everything was fine. Ha! Who was I fooling?

He looked at me for a long time like he was trying to read me. I was getting irritated. Just tell me already.

He closed his eyes and gave a slight shake to his head.

And my world shattered. And it shattered so hard that putting the pieces together was impossible. Heck finding the pieces was difficult. I knew it already but getting my fears confirmed from someone else broke me. My eyes started watering. How many times was I going to cry tonight?

He opened his eyes and seeing my expression came to me with open arms. But I didn't need him now. I didn't need his comfort.

So I ran past him, with tears spilling down my already blotchy face. I know I looked horrible but I couldn't care less. I heard footsteps following me and someone calling my name so I increased my pace. Soon I lost them behind.

I ran and ran aimlessly until I reached a park. It was empty at this hour of the night. I crashed on the ground and cried, cried so much that it was impossible that there were any more tears left but still they spilled.

My brother was no more and it was my fault.

At that point only one thought crossed my mind.

I couldn't live anymore.

But guess life had other plans .
