It was so real
She was so tame
Pursing her lips
Bearing the shame

Feeding them lies
With a sugary smile
But even her eyes
Haven't sparkled in a while

Her beguile lips
Spoke so much
Yet her heart
Hadn't been touched

Broken and beaten
Frozen in time
She was defeated
Living a crime

Angels looked down
Smiling so light
Something so happy
Had given up the fight

She used to be pure
Even if plain
But anything's better
Than living in pain

Her heart was gold
She was a dime
Practising her speech
Just lie, "I'm fine."

Silently she called
But no help came
Just people's sarcasm
"Oh what a shame."

She then laughed
The hatred so grand
Her mind so post
In her own land

She quickly replaced
All her feelings with rage
Then read through her life
And burnt every page

And then she laughed
Exchanged her ache
Smiled so bright
Became so fake

Glossy lips
And polished nails
Then there's concealer
To cover up fails

It finally felt right
She loved her new game
Embracing her life
And her Manicured Pain
