When we're young and brave and mindless
And our courage is adorned
But our life is full of hardships -
All the time we're being scorned
By those pesky politicians
By those whose age surpasses ours
Walking out their paper houses
Into their small paper cars
And their souls are made of paper
Built more fragile by their tears
They're just ripping down and crumbling
Every day they gain more fears
But we really aren't like that
We are wild, young and free
Though they may look down upon us
We're above, they just don't see
Stupid,young and adolescent
We are crazy, brainless fools
But to be a decent person
You don't have to follow rules
Got more feelings than authority
And equality's our game
Yet you refuse to think we're people
And really, isn't that a shame...Quote is from the song 'My Generation' by Memphis May Fire
