Charlie held Ranboo, ridden with grief. He had only stood there and watched, as Ranboo ran to their death - unaware. Charlie could never be half the person that Ranboo was, he would never run straight into danger for two random people, he could never be a hero, and he just wasn't that much of a good person, it seemed. But he found that he could run straight into danger, but only for his brother.

As far as Charlie knew, he and Ranboo had made it through many things - thick and thin. They had enough perseverance to make it out of the Mall, but it seemed they could never really get away from Showfall, no matter how hard they tried.

Charlie darted straight for the monster the second Ranboo went down, and it was almost like his mind took over as he reached down to take the axe - his vision tunneled and his hearing slowly decreased as he was only focused on getting The Security off Ranboo. He raised it high and swung it down on top of The Security's head, and kept on swinging until The Security was off of Ranboo.

It was like some primal instinct took over, like he something inside of him was now awake. A fury unmatched by the wired monster that he viciously attacked - he kept on swinging. After he got The Security off Ranboo, it regained a bit of advantage in the fight, as when it turned around to face Charlie - he froze for but a second too long.

It swiped at him, catching him off guard, but Charlie's adrenaline was too high to even notice. Charlie rebounded quickly, and swung the axe directly into The Security's shattered screen. Charlie - who had been unaware of his screaming and shouts - found that his voice became hoarse, and it was only then that the Security's metallic howls were able to cut through the deafening silence that plagued his mind for the past minutes - the silence of which was only accompanied by ringing, probably from the close proximity to the gun shots.

It shocked him for a second, it's screams sounding almost familiar, but no - he can't let his guard down, not again. First it got Sneeg, then Charlie, and now Ranboo; he didn't even know what he'd do if he lost another brother - but he wasn't going to lose Ranboo, he just couldn't.

Charlie changed his grip on the axe and yanked it out of the screen, kicking The Security in the chest and knocking it down. He swung the axe down on The Security over and over again until his arms felt weak - until it stopped moving.

He pulled the axe out of the destroyed and shattered screen, and stood in front of it for a couple moments. As he let the axe swing to the ground next to him in his limp arm, he could feel something running down the right side of his neck, and a small yet sharp pain on the right side of his cheek; from his chin all the way up to his nose. He could taste blood in his mouth, an iron taste that rest on his tounge like a blanket.

Charlie noticed something obscuring his vision, but only a little. His glasses had slight cracks in the left lense that branched out from the bottom outer corner to around the middle of the lense, with a large chunk missing. The ringing in his ears dulled, and he was slightly more aware of the situation around him, and screams and shouts were some of the only things he could hear now. His vision - which had tunneled to only focus on The Security - expanded to show that the crowd around the scene was scrambling to escape the horrors that had unfolded.

Charlie looked at them through his cracked lense, and a chill ran down his spine. He lashed his head over his shoulder, and his body followed soon after. He raced over to Ranboo's limp body, falling to his knees as he finally reached them.
