I was standing in line of the Maverick, like all the rollercoasters before this one, I watched as the rollercoaster flew past. I stood with a phone in my hand, a game called headbands on the phone. The game consisted of any number of people giving hints to the person with the phone, trying to guess the thing on the phone. I listened to the answers of my step dad and little sister blurting from their mouths. I felt myself drifting off from the game going on, I had spotted a boy, he had blue eyes and sweet brown hair. Don't get me wrong, I had met many boys, but this one was different. I then realized he was glancing back. My body went numb with only heat on my cheeks and butterflies  flying in my stomach. I looked away and turned on my heels quickly to continue the game at hand.

I was stuck on one of the guesses, it was making me anxious. Then I felt someone next to me, I quickly looked at my side and found those ocean blue eyes once again, but this time next to me. "It's very easy." The boy chuckled through his teeth. I felt the butterflies come right back where they had fluttered minutes before. I let out a slight giggle from embarrassment. Lord why did this have to be happening right now. As the line began moving up to the platform where people entered the rollercoaster, I felt myself glancing over back at the tall boy, but not only that, felt his eyes on me. I stood at the platform, almost entering where you get on, I look back at the boy, who is mouthing words I can't understand, until I make out the small motions his mouth is making. He was saying, "You're pretty." The mysterious boy was calling me pretty. I yell thank you back, exchanging smiles with the boy. My body soon was sat on the rollercoaster, full of adrenaline, and not just from the rollercoaster about to be executed.

I lifted myself off the seat that was short lived, a smile plastered on my face until I realized the boy wasn't there. I found myself looking for him. As I walked down the stairs of the building and entered the gift shop for the rollercoaster. When in the room, I got an idea, he was behind me which meant he'd come soon. I waited about three minutes in the gift shop, watching as my sister stood next to me, my step dad with my mom. I pretended to be looking at the shop items, a man's voice coming behind me. "That boy holding the basketball likes you," he said as the same boy before game in view, a girl, I guessed was his daughter added to the man's sentence, "He's fourteen!" I grinned at the information. Soon I was acquainted with the boy, the one that had me twisted, "hi, could I have your number?" My head turned up  to meet the eyes of his. "Hi, yes you may." My eyes dilated as the boys politeness got to me. "Bryson." He added as he handed my phone back and let his hand out, "Lyrik." My body slowly folding at his soft hand shake. After the small conversation, we parted ways, but not until I realized his number was invalid and I ran back. "Hey, your number isn't working." I giggled through my smile that was raised when I saw he was behind me. "Shit, I'm sorry!" He quickly parked in the number, for the second time, into my phone. The two teenagers were once parted ways again.

I rode a swing like machine with my sister for the second time, until she finally allowed me to sit. I reached for my phone and saw the boys text. A small conversation picked up over iMessage. My family and I began striding through the park, stopping for some food, then it was at that moment I felt the presence of the boy. He was walking past, I contemplated going up to him, I fought against it until I asked my mom, "Can he ride rollercoasters with us?" She nodded back. I turned quickly on my heels and began running toward him, a slight pant built up, "Wanna ride some rides with me?" I felt as the boy was slightly taken back at my outward appearance. "Yes." He quickly answered, I watched as his friends I'd soon know as his step brothers walking away, "they can come!" I invited to make him feel comfortable, "nah, I can meet up with them after." I gave him a small grin at the response. We slowly made our way back to my family, I introduced him, the boy was polite as he was with me. As we walked, we made small conversations, soon turning into deep ones. I didn't know what I was feeling, it felt like..comfort.. I hadn't felt that in a while. We met our first ride, a small one that I can't recall, my little sister had joined in on our conversations. The two of them ganging up on me about random things, acting like they'd been best friends forever. We got onto the ride, we sat behind my mom and little sister, the two seats causing our knees to touch. I could feel a feeling, almost like electricity running through our bodies. The roller coaster had a steep hill like structure, we began ascending up. I felt a large familiar hand meet mine, he sent me a look that asked for permission. I gave him a nod and soft smile. Once the ride was over, the conversations and information began flooding back in. He was from there, around an hour away. Soon after riding around two rides, they got onto a swing. The swing was one that rises into the air and spins in a circle around the pillar holding up the swings. I had gathered the info that he was actually not a fan of heights, ironic right? The swings held two a person, we sat next to each other. His hand met mine once again. I loved how much he had given attention to me, after all my main love language is physical touch, the swing began rising up. I felt his grip tighten slightly, I put my other hand over his holding mine. "Scared?" I teased him, he gave me a genuine look back, before startling me by pretending to push me. We both filled the space between us with laughter at each other. Once we hit the top, I looked back over at him from the sunset I had been admiring, "can I kiss you?" He asked in that sweet ass voice of his. But before I can answer, my body does, I pull him in with my hand to his neck and kiss him. We shared the touch of each other for a few seconds before regaining consciousness of reality. Both of our eyes dilated between each other. As we reached the ground he spoke again, "suddenly I'm not scared of heights anymore." He joked. I gave him a nudge with my shoulder as I got out of the deep seat of the swing. We went back to before where the conversations arise while on the way to the next rollercoaster. We shared many moments throughout the three hours we spent together. After our last ride, he pulled me into him and shared another kiss. My body feeling weak into him. The two teens began going toward the exit, a slight sadness between leaving. We said our goodbyes but before I walked off, I pulled him into a kiss, initiating it. "I'll see you again.." I whispered in his ear as we shared a small hug and a few words. I ran off back to my family that had continued walking, where we headed back to the car. A slight feeling I'd see him again. Will I?
