Raina woke up in a field covered in flowers and sunlight. She lay in a basket with her beautiful white wings curved around her infant body. Gazing at the flowers she heard a soft gasp and a woman appeared at the side of the basket. She was young but her eyes showed her lack of sleep and her arms quivered from malnutrition and disbelief as she lifted Raina from the basket carefully.
"My prayers have been answered." She said a tear running down her cheek.
The woman was careful to cradle Raina's wings underneath her as she walked back to the run down farmhouse she was living in.
"Tommy, come quickly!" The woman said kneeling in the front lawn.
Within seconds a man appeared on the porch, eyes wide with shock. He carefully approached the woman before kneeling down behind her and setting his arm under hers to help support Raina. Just then a light rippled in front of the couple and a flawless and angelic man appeared.
"You two have seen great devastation and heart break. You know the dangers of the world but continue to forgive. This infant, Raina, will grow with you and help heal wounds of the past by fighting for the future. Raise her the same as any child and love her just as much for she is what will save human kind. There is a great evil brewing and leaking into this world that must be stopped before balance is broken and chaos reigns." The man was starting to fade away.
"We will." The woman said pressing a soft kiss on Raina's forehead. Her husband nodded in agreement and with that the man had fully disappeared.
