Ebony's POV

I walked back to my room slowly. I wasn't in a hurry so I had time. There wasn't very many sophomore girls so I had my own room. It was decorated in a earthy theme for obvious reasons.
I sat down at my desk to write in my diary like I did every night, but tonight was different. I was about to put pen on paper when I realized something. If I wrote about the meeting tonight anyone could read it. Anyone could discover our secret.
I picked up the journal that had been my diary for the past year and threw it away down the garbage shoot.
I collapsed down onto my bed and put my head in my hands. Several minutes later I heard voices on the level under me. I figured it was just some arrogant freshmen out past curfew and went down to chew them out.
When I got downstairs I gasped and flattened myself against the wall. It was the freshmen girls that had invited me for that meeting.
They slipped out the door and I followed not far behind. My phone dinged quietly in my pocket with a text from Faedra. I ignored it and kept following them. I was determined to find out what they were doing.
They were a little over halfway down the sidewalk going east when they stopped in unison, turned around, and almost, almost, saw me. I ducked into the bushes just in time but when I recovered and stood up to continue, they were nowhere in sight.
I decided that it would be best to go back inside to my dorm and tell Idella and Faedra about it in the morning.
Back in my room, I looked at my phone to check the text Faedra had sent me earlier. It to was to all of the elements about starting training tomorrow.
I decided I would tell them then.
