Silent Tears Hold the Loudest Pain

I look in the mirror,

With hot, fierce tears racing down my cheeks,

With lips that shiver,

And eyes that quiver.

And late at night when everyone's asleep,

My thoughts simple wander,

Words cut deep,

But I can't speak.

I lie in bed hoping to fall asleep,

Before I fall apart,

Because they can't see my flooded eyes,

Neither do they hear my broken cries.

And sometimes I just want to disappear,

Or maybe I just want to be seen,

I can't help but wonder,

Whether anyone really wants me here.

Every time it hurts,

I tell myself that it'll get better,

And I put on a smile,

So, no one knows what's going on inside.

And at the end,

All I want is to be happy for a moment,

Just like I used to be,

Not thinking about tomorrows worries.

And what hurts even more,

Is that everyone thinks that I'm okay,

But silent tears,

Hold the loudest pain.
