Lost

-Lost-

As I wander through the night

My tears begin to blur my sight.

Stars surround me everywhere

But no one is to be seen anywhere.

I was left all alone.

With only the echoes of your angry tone.

It's the same old song.

I've been lost for so very long.

Without you here with me

There is a lock in my heart and your the key.

But you left in such a hurry

Always getting up so early.

Your having more fun

With her under the sun.

My grip on you was tight

But we had a fight.

You had me wrapped around your finger

All those lovely feelings of love still linger.

Your sweet words to me

Stay only as a memory.

Our happy moments that seemed to never end

We felt as if we couldn't bend.

Unstoppable love for each other

Yet you loved not me, but another.

My heart shattered

It didn't matter.

Not like I was sad

Or even mad.

But rather I finally understood...

Losing you was the cost

Of being lost.
