CHAPTER ONE,

"Prince Lucien," his butler called out to him, and there was no response. "Prince Lucien!" He shouted at him again and Lucien awoke from his obvious deep slumber. "What's with all the bloody shouting? It's a sunday," Lucien angrily spoke to the man and then groaned watching Brixton; his butler began to open up the black curtain, shining the bright sun into his room. The Prince took his black silky sheets off his pale muscular body. "Beyonca, sweetheart? Wake up." He tapped her lower back gently, watching her slowly wake up. He smiled at Brix as his butler held his hands respectfully behind his back and moved away from the bed, by the door. Lucien pulled the sheets off of Beyonca and lightly chuckled as she gasped. "Good morning." He spoke and she shook her head disappointed in herself. "Last night was a mistake..." She told Lucien, which then made him pull her face closer to his. "A mistake? With me? That's funny, love." A smug smirk filled his lips as Beyonca pulled away from his face and she shook her head again. "Yes, a mistake." Lucien's smirk dropped and he sighed. Once again another woman being too embarrassed to sleep with the prince, what an idiot. "You can leave," He dismissed the woman, then stood from the bed and sipped on the hot tea that his butler brought over to him before. "A mistake, yes? So, you stayed over so you can figure out my secrets, hm?" Lucien now shook his own head and laughed at the woman. His voice was deep and his eyes darkened. "No, Lucien, no. That's not it at all." Beyonca grabbed his hand and he pushed her off of him. She fell back onto the bed, laying on her back and Lucien followed behind her, moving his hand over her head and onto his night stand. He grabbed his pistol and placed it next to her head, pushing her hair out his way and behind her ear. "Lucien, stop," She cried out and then he cocked the gun back and she looked up at him. "No more lies. You won't be going home to your daddy tonight, love." The girl gave him a disturbed look, "I said last night was a mistake and you're threatening to shoot me?" She asked him and he nodded. "That's just the kind of man I am." He chuckled at himself. "You're a coward. Shoot me, you won't!" She screamed at him and Lucien was in fact about to shoot her and then was interrupted. "Prince Lucien, don't!" Exclaimed Brixton and the Prince sighed loudly. "Lucien.." A deep voice spoke and Lucien quickly stood pulling Beyonca up with him. "Father.." Lucien acknowledges him and puts the gun in his other hand placing both his hands in front of his stomach. "Lucien, you do know Miss.Bower here is from a very powerful family, yes?" Lucien nodded at his father's question. "Better yet, she's also a disgrace, and a whore." The woman was hurt by those disgusting words, so, she sat back down on the bed. "Get up!" Shouted the King and Beyonca stood up. "Are you kidding me?" She snapped, "You dare to call me all those names but you, King Andrew are so pleased with me being a who.." She was interrupted by a bullet going through her stomach and out towards her spine, killing her instantly. She fell to the floor, blood began spilling out all over Lucien's floor and he gasped dramatically. "My Fucking floors!" He shouted at his father and then held his gun towards him. "Finish her sentence," Lucien demands his father to speak. "She's dead for a reason." He said to his son and Lucien once again cocked his gun back, holding his finger on the trigger lightly. "You've got to be joking." King Andrew laughed at Lucien. "Why'd you kill her?" Brix walked towards Lucien with both his hands halfway up in the air. "Prince Lucien, put the gun down. It's not worth it." The father slipped out of the room, very quickly because he is a coward. Lucien puts his gun down and sighed once again. "Clean this up, I'll be getting ready for the.." Lucien was lost with his own words. "The ball sir. It's the Masquerade ball." Lucien walked towards his walk-in closet and pulled down a burgundy tuxedo with black velvet lapel, he put it on and fixed the lapel. "Brix..how do I look?" Lucien asked him as he walked out the closet to see the man on his knees, on the floor cleaning up the blood with an already red stained dingy white rag. "Handsome." Lucien playfully winked at him and walked past him and out of his room. "Oh. I need a mask." He spoke to Brixton and then turned to the table beside him that had a black devil mask on top of it. "Lovely." He spoke to himself, then made his way down the stairs noticing his mother waiting for him. "Lucien, have you picked a beautiful woman to go to the ball with you yet?" She asked him and the Prince stepped down from the last step. "No Mother but fright not, I'll be finding one now." Lucien assured his mother. "You only have two hours before the ball starts," She told him and Lucien chuckled. "It will take me five minutes, not even." He cockishley spoke and the mother nodded. "Brixton! Tell Philip to bring over the Limo." He shouted across the house and Brix came running down the stairs and outside which made Lucien laugh lightly, only to himself. He kissed his mother's cheek and followed behind Brix as the car was pulled up in front of the castle. "Come with me, Brix." Lucien shoved Brix inside the limo and followed behind him and shut the door after he sat down. The driver turns to look at him and asks him a question. "Where to, Prince Lucien?" He poured himself some champagne and looked up at Philip. "I have a woman, her name is Blissa. Beyonca's little sister," Brix chuckled lightly to himself, clearly amazed with Lucien's choice of women. "Tiffany de loúrs, she'll be there, Philip." Brix told the driver and Lucien took a few sips of his champagne and shook his head. "How do you know that?" Lucien asked Brix and Brix laughed again. "Sir..you make it quite obvious. You and tell me if I'm wrong but stalk her every move." Brix stated and Lucien nodded. "Good eye, Brixton," He agreed with him and sipped the rest of the drink. "How do you expect to get her so easily, sir?" Brix asked him and the Prince turned to him in utter disbelief. "Brix, I'm Lucien Zańe." He smirked, "We're here, sir." Lucien hands Brix the empty glass cup. Lucien fixed his tux and grabbed his wallet from Brix's hand and then Philip opened the door for Lucien. "Thank you, Philip," He smiled and walked into the store. Three girls squealed at his presence and he smiled at them. "Hello ladies." The girl held up her phone and asked him for a picture. "No, photos of me are earned and confidential. I'm the Prince and you're..well..Who are you?" Lucien said, Brix nodded at the girls and Lucien spotted Blissa. "My..My." He licks his lips at the woman's presence, her body was divine. Dare he think like this but, just like her sisters. "Don't dread it, I have a boyfriend." Lucien lightly laughed at what she said. "No boyfriend matches or compares to me." Lucien cockily spoke and Brix nodded. "My boyfriend is a millionaire, and what are you?" Lucien smiled at her words and crossed his arms. "Who am i?" His jaw tightened. "I am Lucien Zańe, the Prince of the United Kingdom." Lucien smirked at her as she bowed out of respect. "Good girl." The woman stood up straight and shook her head at the Prince. "I won't be manipulated by you, Your Majesty," Lucien stepped closer to her and nodded at her. "You don't have to be, accompany me to the masquerade ball." He states to her instead of asking. "Oh..I still have that boyfriend." She told him and picked up her bags off of the floor. "Who is he?" Lucien asked straightforwardly. "Well he's..." She was stalling and it made Lucien laugh. "Not real I assume?" He interrupted her. "He's very real, in fact I'll bring him by tonight." Lucien nodded, "Deal, and don't embarrass yourself, love." The girl bowed again as she walked past him and towards the register uncharmed by the charming Prince. "I'm sorry sir, maybe next time tone down the manipulation talk and be more respectful.." Lucien turns to Brix and points his index finger at him. "Tell me what to do again and I'll have you working for the fake millionaires!" Brix gasped loudly and they both left the store and got back into the Limo. They got back to the castle a few hours later and it was just in time for the ball. Lucien walks through the entrance doors to the castle and picks up his mask and puts it on. Lucien took a deep breath and then walked through the ballroom doors. The people in gowns and suits bowed out of respect. "Enjoy the ball~, ladies and gentlemen." Lucien made his way towards the bar and looked around for a few seconds noticing Blissa. She looked beautiful. "My..my." He drooled over her and as he was walking towards her Brix stopped him in his tracks, apparently the King and Queen wanted him to say a few words to the people. Lucien got on the stage, where the dj had the music playing and he stopped it. He began to speak, "May I have your attention, please," The crowd got silent. Lucien smiled at the crowd of well dressed ladies and well dressed gentlemen. "Welcome all, to my castle. I hope you found your way easily into my home." The guests chuckled in unison. "Everyone, please, put your masks on," The prince placed his drink down, put his mask on, then picked his drink up again. "You may be in disguise at this very moment, but those secrets you inhabit within your heart? That you carry with you everywhere? They'll consume you. Disguises are just a mask, so you can hide but just know that I see it, you see it. Now, enjoy the ball!" The guests were all shocked but once he held his drink up, the guests mimicked and they drank together until Lucien stepped down from the stage and the music began to play again. He walked towards Blissa, but walked past her to the bar in which she followed behind him. "Prince Lucien.." Blissa tapped his shoulder and he turned to her. "Miss.Bower, where's your beau?" He asked about the boyfriend. "He's in the bathroom actually..he'll be out shortly." She nodded and Lucien chuckled lightly. "Tell me, how does Princess Blissa sound, eh?" Blissa scoffed at Lucien's words. "I bathe it." Lucien made a shocked expression. "Ouch." A hand touched Lucien's shoulder and he ignored it until the person stood next to Blissa. "Evening, Sir Lucien Zańe." The man had a smirk on his face and Lucien made a disgusted look. "Vance De'Martel..what do I owe this displeasure?" He asked the man. "I didn't invite you," He stated and Vance laughed slightly, "My girlfriend invited me. She's a sweetheart and I couldn't pass up the invitation to see my favorite psycho Prince!" Lucien tilted his head at the man and eyed him and Blissa. "You both can leave..this," he pointed at the two in front of him. "Is sickening." Lucien smiled at Blissa as she scoffed. He leans down to kiss Blissa's hand and calls the guards over to take them out his castle. "I'll see you both very soon. It was nice seeing you Vance, don't come again." The guards took them away and Lucien waved with his fingers as they made their way out of his castle. Lucien finds Brix a few minutes later and tells him to tell the King that he is going upstairs. Ball's over for him.
