Chapter 4: Old Friends, Revived Rivalries

•Pete's POV•
Patrick and I are sitting in the living room of our band house playing charades with Joe and Andy, when my phone starts playing The Ballad of Mona Lisa. "Pete, your phone is ringing," Patrick announces.
"Isn't that Brendon's ringtone?" Joe asks.
"Yeah. I'll answer. It's probably not important."
I pick up my phone and answer the phone, putting it on speaker phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey Pete. It's Brendon. I was wondering if I could stay at your house for a few days?"
"Um. I don't know."
"Yes Brendon. You can," Patrick interrupts me.
"Patrick!" I hiss.
"Thanks Pete."
"No! Not you too!"
"Sorry. I had to. But seriously thank you to all of you. Hi Andy, Joe, and Patrick! I know I'm on speaker."
"Hey, Brendon!" They reply.
"Alright. Well when will you be here?" A knock on the door interrupts me as Brendon hangs up the phone. I open the door to see Brendon standing in the doorway with a suitcase.
"Now."
The guys start laughing from the living room. I sigh at their immaturity and open the door wider for Brendon to come inside. I ask, "So what are you doing here? I thought you were on tour."
"I was but we are taking a five day break. So I came here."
"You're looking for Angela, aren't you?" Patrick asks.
"Yeah," he sighs.
"Did you find her?" Joe asks.
He nods. "She has kids."
We sit down on the couch and wait for Andy to return from putting some random supplies from charades away.
"Whose kids are they?" Andy asks when he returns.
"Apparently the kids are mine."
"You have kids!" I exclaim.
He shrugs. "I guess. That would explain why she suddenly left. I knew she wouldn't cheat on me."
"How could you have not known? How old are they?" Patrick asks.
"We fought and she left. They are 4 years old."
"Didn't she leave about 4 years ago?"
He nods. "Yeah. She was pregnant with twins when she left. She never told me but she told Dallon! Of all people! Ugh!" He slams his head into the coffee table and sits on the floor.
