Chapter 10

You looked at your right, which was where Ace was sitting. You saw a short redhead, like, his hair is red like red lipstick. Anyways, he was crossing his arms and he looked pretty angry. You saw everyone panic at the sound of his voice, and you were confused.

" R-Riddle ! It's not what it sounds like !! " Cater answered Riddle. You weren't sure on why he was like that, but you were trying to connect the dots.

" Oh, is it not now  ? Care to explain what you were talking about then ? " he asked Cater daringly.

" ... "

" Hmph, that's what I thought. Keep running that mouth and you'll lose it, along with the rest of your head. "

" Sorry ! I promise it won't happen again ! " Cater answered Riddle with a panicked smile.

" Myah ?! " Grim exclaimed. " You're the guy that put that stupid collar on me at the orientation ceremony ! "

You remember now ! He's the housewarden of Heartslabyul, Riddle Rosehearts. (*insert flashback of riddle presenting himself*)

Riddle turned his head to look at Grim and Yuu, he examinated their appearances before opening his mouth to talk.

" And you're the new students who were nearly expelled yesterday, " he retorted, " I'll ask that you not refer to my signature spell as 'a stupid collar'. The headmage's habit of tolerating rulebreakers like you is going to send this entire campus spiraling into chaos one day. "

' Well that was rude, who the fuck does he think he is ? Just because he's a housewarden means he can be like this. ' You had thought to yourself while mentally rolling your eyes.

" Those who break the rules should have their heads removed immediately, without exception. "

" Dude seriously ? This guy looks like a wimp, talks like a monster, " Ace quietly whined.

' He does, in fact, look like a wimp. He was not how I was imagining him at all. ' You thought as you looked at him up and down.

Riddle noticed you side-eyeing him up and down, (bombastically -sherry) he looked a bit flustered / angry when he asked you " what ? ".

" Nothing, sorry, " you answered back, feeling embarrassed that you got caught side-eyeing someone. You heard a small " hmph. " coming from his direction.

"Anyways, the headmage may have forgiven you, but if you break any further rules, I assure you, I will not, " he continued, his voice actually sounding menacing

" So, uh, listen, housewarden, sir... Any chance I could get you to remove this collar ? " Ace tried to ask without irritating the housewarden.

" I had intended on removing once you'd taken an opportunity to reflect on your crimes. But I've not detected so much as a hint of remorse in your voice, and that attitude. So I think I'll let you keep that for a while longer, " Riddle harshly replied to Ace's request.

" Don't worry, the freshman curriculum is more focused on magical theory than practice. And your inability to use magic will help prevent incidents along the lines of what happened yesterday, " he reassured Ace.

" Now, if you've finished your meal, you should quit gossiping and prepare for your next class. Rule 271 is clear ; ' One must leave the table within fifteen minutes of completing their lunch. ' You do understand what happens to rulebreakers I trust ? "

Ace sighed and said something under his breath that no one was able to hear, except for Riddle apparently.

" I believe you meant to say 'Yes, housewarden ! " Riddle corrected.

" Yes, housewarden ! " All of the Heartslabyul students who were sitting at this table repeated after him.

" Very well. " Riddle said, satisfied.

' Wow, he surely talks a lot about rules.. This is what Cater meant, damn, I feel bad for the Heartslabyul students. Sure glad I'm not in there, ' you thought to yourself, thanking the skies and the gods for not placing you in there because you would never be able to remember those rules.

" Now now, don't worry Riddle. I'll keep an eye on them, " Trey tried to reassure Riddle.

"Hmm. As vice housewarden, I trust you'll avoid any further indiscreet conversations, "

" Excuse me, but I have to go, " you tried to excuse yourself from the table, "I have to go get something, "

Suddenly, you felt a chilling stare. Turning around, you saw your housewarden. Vil Schoenheit. You immediately turned back to look at your table and started fixing your hair and makeup. Everyone was confused on what you were doing until they saw your armband.

" You're from Pomefiore ? O-M-G no wonder you look so cute !! You are literally soo Magicam worthy ! " Cater said in surprise

" Uh, aha, yeah tots, " you answered him back while flattening out your uniform.

" Uhmmm, alright, I'm gonna go now. Bye guys, " you had bidded everyone before leaving.

After school was over, you decided to try and explore the school since you were finally free. Vil was busy helping out Epel so you were able to do. Thought you did have to admit you felt bad for the poor boy, he had to endure all of those 2 hour long lecture and etiquettes lessons.

Anyways, you decided to try and find the garden because you like gardens. Gardening is very nice for you, sure, it'll be muddy and takes effort but that's the thing that makes you productive every day. It was also fun to garden with other people, you made a whole lo of memories with your family wile gardening.

Moving on, you finally found the garden after a 10 - 15 minute walk. To be honest, if you didn't go outside today, you would've probably just stayed inside doing nothing but reading fanfictions and draw.

You kind of wished there was somebody with you though, like a close family member or one of your close friends. You were okay with walking alone though, it didn't drain your social battery which was pretty nice.

You looked at the garden, which turned out to be a Botanical garden, you thought that it looked pretty good from the outside.

As you walked into the botanical garden, you found the air very nice and fresh. Suddenly, you remembered that Vil had told you yesterday that he needed some pink spiky flowers from the botanical garden. He asked you to get it by tomorrow and it was a good thing that you came here.

You took out your phone to look at the picture that Vil had shown you yesterday. You walked around trying to find where that flower was, until you heard some noises..

" Woah.. I didn't realize this place was so huge, " you heard a familiar voice say.

Yaaaay done with chapter 10 !! I just realized that all of my chapters has 1000 + words except for that one chapter that has exactly 1000 words but like whatever yk, anyways, i might actually be able to write, proofread, correct all the mistakes and publish chapter 11 by tomorrow or after tomorrow. DAMN i'm making progress 🤭 -sherry
