Chapter 4
As they continued their journey, Lily and Jack found themselves in a small village. The villagers were friendly, and they welcomed the travelers with open arms.
One afternoon, as they sat in a small café, Lily struck up a conversation with a young woman at the next table.
"I couldn't help but notice your sword," the woman said, eyeing Jack's weapon.
Jack nodded. "It's come in handy a few times on our journey," he said.
The woman looked at Lily. "And what about you? Do you have any weapons to defend yourself?"
Lily shook her head. "No, I don't. But I've been able to hold my own so far."
The woman looked impressed. "You must be very brave," she said.
Lily smiled. "I just want to do whatever it takes to help Jack break this curse."
The woman looked thoughtful. "I may be able to help you," she said. "There is a wise woman who lives in the mountains. She may know how to break the curse."
Lily and Jack were intrigued. "Where can we find her?" Jack asked.
The woman gave them directions, and they set off towards the mountains. As they journeyed, they talked excitedly about what they might learn from the wise woman.
When they finally reached her home, the wise woman welcomed them warmly. She listened patiently as they told her their story, and then she spoke.
"Breaking a curse is not easy," she said. "But there is one thing that can break any curse."
"What is it?" Lily asked eagerly.
"True love," the wise woman replied.
Lily and Jack looked at each other, their love stronger than ever. They knew that they had what it took to break the curse and be together forever.
