Miguel

Miguel sighed heavily as he recalled the events of the week before. He remembered his apprehension of realizing where the most recent anomaly was. Earth-65, Gwen Stacy's Universe. The very same Gwen variant who held a particularly close bond to who he considered the bane of his existence, Miles Morales.

Ah, yes, him, Miguel huffed as he recalled the boy whose very presence had thrown the multiverse into a dumpster fire of chaos.

For exactly one year and a month, he has been running around cleaning up the mess caused by the original anomaly. If it hadn't been for his own stupid sense of sympathy he would've held to his word and never involved Gwen Stacy in his legion against the eradication of the Omniverse.

Her very presence meant yet another thing he had to look out for, in the case where she had the idea to involve Morales. Just as Miguel began to decline further into his own regrets over involving the troubled teen in question, his thoughts were interrupted.

"Holaaaa! Am I interrupting anything or just your brooding?" Elena remarked as she walked into his office with a lunch bag in hand. Miguel sighed once more as he swiped away at the screen, resuming his surveillance.

"What- I'm not brooding, I'm working- And I do not 'Brood'" Miguel retorted as he continued to make a show of his work to prove his statement.  Elena snickered lightly as she drew closer to his perch of an office.

" Okay, whatever you say, Miguel." Elena affirmed with a smirk, propelling herself up to where he was with her webs. Miguel glanced at her briefly taking note of the easy-going smile present on her sun-kissed face.

" Hey Lyla," she called and out appeared the glamorous AI, Miguel looked at Elena fully, a question in his gaze.

"Hey there Elena, what can I help with?" Lyla asked as she drew closer to the young woman. Miguel quirked an eyebrow as Elena met his gaze with her own mischievous one, he could tell at that moment that he wasn't going to like where this was going.

"Oh nothing, I just heard from a little birdie that you made Miguel practically beg for backup the other day, is that true?" Elena asked as she leaned towards Lyla, who began to simulate the same impish grin of the woman before her.

Miguel felt his composure dissipate as a familiar feeling of embarrassment began to creep up his very spine.

Ay, que la chingada! Here we go! Miguel groaned as he began to pinch the bridge of his nose.

"I don't know where-" Miguel started.

"Maybe," Lyla giggled.

"Aw Lyla, don't you know that making him whine is my job?" Elena cooed as she looked back at Miguel, with that same Damned playful smirk. Miguel huffed out humorlessly as he looked up in disbelief.

"I swear to god- If that was all you came here for-"

"Perdón! Perdón! I saw an opportunity and took it! I came here for this-" Elena said in between her laughter. Miguel looked at her skeptically as she motioned to the bag she had been holding.

" I brought you some lunch, fresh from my cafe." Elena said as she held it out to him. Miguel looked between her and his food, he sighed through his nose as he placed his hands on his hips.

"Thank you, but I didn't need you to bring me lunch. Miguel said simply as he looked at the raven-haired woman, which earned a playful scoff from Elena.

"Ay, I know Mr. Workaholic, but your eating schedule is so erratic even for a Spiderman." Elena pointed out.

"I mean when was the last time you ate?" she questioned. Miguel opened his mouth to respond but was cut off by his own android.
