Everything is black
I don't remember anything.
What happened?
I slowly open my eyes. My eye sight is blurry, my lungs are heavy. It felt like they were burning. The next thing I knew, I felt water coming out my mouth as I catch my breath. I start to look around. I see a lot of boxes and a red light.
How did I get here?
While observing the red light, I see something get closer to me. I looked like a monster. Please don't let me fight something.
Suddenly I feel the ground below me start to move. It was going in an insane speed. I grabbed the iron bars to hold me so I don't fall. I groan as i Fall to the ground hitting my head. I finally reached the doors. I heard someone talking. I grabbed my pocket knife, being prepared for anything.
The doors open.
I see a group of boys surrounding the cage I was in. They were all looking at me like they've never seen a girl before. One of them got closer to me.
"BACK OFF!!!!" I screamed as he flinched. I guess he didn't think I would react that way. I dragged him down in the cage with me and held the knife against his throat. The other boys just watched, knowing they couldn't do anything.
"WHO ARE YOU!?" I screamed in his face. Out of nowhere he threw me out of the cage. I groaned as my head hit the ground, making me pass out.
After a while I wake up to feeling people looking me up and down. I open my eyes to the sun blinding me. I look around for the easiest escape. I then see a huge door. I get my shit together and stands up. I start running towards the door I thought was the exit. A blonde guy started running after me telling me that it's a dumb idea. I didn't listen. I ran. At the side of the door I see a wall full of names which was crossed over. I ran over to the wall. The boy stood behind me.
"What happened?" I said stroking my cold fingers over the carved names.
"They all died" he blurted out, looking down. I turned around, surprised about what I heard.
"The maze you tried to enter is deadly. There is many creatures there which could kill you in an instant" he said. I turned quiet. "What's you're name?" He said. He looked deep in my eyes
"My name is ....."I don't know what my name is! I forgot my name! "It's normal! You'll remember your name in some days! I'm Newt btw" he held his hand out. I looked at him then at his hand. Did he really think I would grab his hand? I refused to touch him in any way. I mean he was handsome, but not in a romantic way.... I think. Anyway!
"I'm sorry for what happened" I said as I looked back at the wall. He didn't say anything. It got quiet.
"Thank you Newt" I said. "Thank you for making me not enter that maze" I continued saying. He looked at me with a warm smile. I felt my face heat up. "How long have you been here?" I asked "some of us has been here for over three years" he says. I felt bad for them. Three years in a maze. "The first one of us had to be here all alone for one month. You see, every month we get a new person" he continued on saying. We didn't say anything more. We had eye contact for what felt like hours. His eyes were to melt for.
"I'll show you around while explaining everything to you" he said, breaking the tension between us. I blinked my eyes and smiled. "Sure. If I'm gonna be here for many years, I might just learn everything I need to know" I said as he laughed. I started laughing with him. He looked forwards as he took my hand. His hand was warm and clammy. He dragged me towards the others while looking back at me, making sure I'm okay.
