Myah was beginning to realize that ruling wasn't all sunshine and roses. A lot of the time, it was actually snow and wilted lillies. And right now, that was literal. Russia was cold, but she had never quite developed a love for snow. She still loved her job, but not the part with grumpy diplomats and unsatisfied peasants. Myah preferred the beautiful dresses and warm furs that came with her rank. She would rather be in her closet right now than where she actually was: on her way to a court session. "Goodness knows what I'll see today. A man wanting to sue over a broken toenail, or two ladies accusing each other of stealing a cat, perhaps?"

Myah had, unfortunately, guessed correctly. She settled both cases quickly, and several others like it. "Sign this please.", "He stole my sled!", and "I think there should be a law forbidding snow!" Those were all cases that day. Though, if it would do any good to forbid snow, Myah very well might have done it. She was beginning to ponder if falling asleep during court would insult or endear her to the people of Russia when the excitement commenced. Not that she wanted this kind. It happened all at once: a nobleman and a messenger rushed in at the same time, and Myah's advisors instantly began hissing their ideas in her ears. The nobleman appeared to be very frustrated and slightly angry when he spoke: "O Gracious and Majestic Czarina, I come to ask that you show mercy on the Countess Kristina and bring her forth from exile in Siberia! She meant no wrong by serving your guards poisoned drinks, she had no knowledge of what was going on in her estate." Myah waved him off. "The Countess may not be responsible for doing the deed, but she must have been aware of something amiss. She is guilty until proven innocent." As the dejected nobleman (a duke?) went from the hall, Myah sighed as her advisors resumed buzzing. Her life was all snow and pests right now.
