Doomguy X Demon Slayer

The Truth

While most slayers became envious of Doomguy, Tanjiro wanted to know who he was really badly, so he went up to him one day and asked "Hi! The name's Tanjiro. What's yours?" Doomguy, merely replied with "...the Slayer."

Tanjiro, confused, asked "What? Why don't you have an actual name?"

"I keep my name to myself. It's not your concern." Doomguy replied. "I am not part of your organization, but I believe we share the same goal."

Tanjiro said "Oh wow. What convinced you to start fighting demons?"

"Her name was Chloe, and our son's name was Hunter. I don't get why I lost them of all things. When I did lose them I lost all hope... until I found a way." Doomguy responded.

Tanjiro couldn't say anything anymore. He could not comprehend how much losses this great man had to endure. But then he asked "Is it me or do you look like some guy from a future we'll never get to see?"

Doomguy, without any hesitation, responds with "Probably." Tanjiro, now feeling suspicious of Doomguy, goes to his friends and tells them about everything. Within the group of friends, mixed reactions boil up. There are some who are surprised and some who are suspicious of Doomguy.

Meanwhile, in a castle filled with demons, a heinous leader named Muzan Kibutsuji appeared before his subjects and demanded answers. He wanted to know who this man clad in armor was. Most of them couldn't answer as they had not yet seen Doomguy, but one witness they had taken hostage the day before did. This witness described Doomguy as a "living weapon", but Muzan was doubtful and ate the hostage.

Clamoring had spread throughout the Infinity Castle, as all the demons were not prepared for such a powerful foe just yet. One subject of Muzan finally suggested that they begin the long-awaited search of the demon slayers' base, as Doomguy might've already turned into a slayer.

Or so they thought.
