I used everything I had left of my energy to attack it and make it move to the back edge of the top of the tower. Barchiel hit it with a rain of his lighting spears knocking it off the tower and causing it to disintegrate into dust.
That was odd. My knees give in and I collapse onto them, as I start going into a sitting position Barchiel puts his hand on my waist and lifts me.
As I look into his eyes I realise "It's over, it's finally over." I say with relief but deep down a pull from my heart knowing we have to go our separate way. As if Barachiel knows he turns me to face him and I follow his movement like a rag doll, ramping my arms around him for more support. He put one of his hands on my cheek. I lean my face into it, just being careful not to overdo it.
The look in his eyes is one of sadness that I'm leaving but one of knowing that we will meet again. We will meet again. This time I lean for the kiss, a short long-lasting kiss that I know I will know the meaning of and when I do he will be waiting for me here knowing I will come back and thank him for everything he has done.
With our last embrace, we held on for a while longer not wanting to let go. As the sun set I knew it was time to leave. With a knowing yet somewhat wry smile we parted. I walked closer to the edge of the tower and shapeshifted into my pink petals, surrounding Barchiel and then letting the wind carry me southeast. To uncover the past and find my family and Barchiel. The sky will guide me, I wonder what I will find.
