Elaenys walked through the walls of the red keep as she searched for her sister, a small frown on her face as her violet eyes looked around passing by maids who bowed in respect as she walked by

she smiled small to them but she felt small panic prick her chest when she found rhaenyra nowhere in sight, oh how she hated being parted from her sister—especially since her return from her journey. it felt weird being around her own home without her mother nor sister

so stuck in her thoughts elaenys didn't even realize she had bumped into someone "oh!" she quickly stabled her stumbled form as her gaze looked to who it was nearly knocking her over

and her face instantly fell at who the person was "lord otto" she said politely keeping her hands clamped before her

otto hightower looked to the woman as his brow rose slightly "princess, apologies for knocking into you" he was certainly surprised at how grown the elder princess was, more beautiful even

elaenys felt uncomfortable at his stare as she forced out a tiny smile "it's quite alright my lord, i must be on my way" she moved passed him

"i could assist to where you need to be princess, you seemed to be in such a haste" the princess breathed out lightly turning to the man

"surely you have many things on your plate to handle and i am quite fine on my own" the fake smile now evident on her face before continuing her face paced walking getting as far away from the man

"but prince-"

"good day lord otto" she called out cutting him off quickly making her way out the castle and was lucky to see one the guards posted near the carriages

"have you seen where my sister went ser?" she asked him once she neared the man

he bowed "the princess took her daily flight with syrax princess"

elaenys smiled, typical of her sister to run off without telling anyone about her whereabouts just to mount her dragon "could you take me to her please"

the guard obliged without a doubt as he helped the princess in the carriage before he rode off to the dragonpit

the screeches and flapping of wings were heard throughout the skies as elaenys exited the carriage, her eyes drifted up to the sky where she saw syrax golden frame flying within the white clouds

a smile made its way on elaenys face at the sight of the beauteous beast, she herself never had a dragon of her own which she didn't mind at all. her mother despised dragons and she didn't want to worry her mother more with rhaenyra already having a dragon and flying almost everyday

but she wouldn't mind if the valyrian gods blessed her with a dragon of her own, she would like to experience flying on her own without having to ride with her uncle daemon and his dragon

"pleasure seeing you here princess" the voice of ser harrold brought elaenys attention back as she glanced to him

"ser harrold, i suppose she had her ways in bringing her here yes?" elaenys rose her brow as ser harrold chuckled

"i could never refuse the princess order when she flashes those doe eyes to get anything she wants" elaenys laughed lightly at how easily her sister could manipulate someone into letting her do whatever she wants

syrax frame flew down to the ground as the dragon keepers neared her golden frame, syrax eyes locked on elaenys as she screeched happily upon seeing the elder princess

rhaenyra dismounted her dragon giving her dragon soft rubs as her own eyes locked with her sisters as she grinned brightly "sister!" her eyes filled with joy at the elder princess presence

elaenys neared them letting her hand rub syrax snout as the dragon purred at her touch before she turned to her sister "mother and i have been looking for you everywhere, you should inform us if you go dragon riding nyra" the elder princess scolded lightly

rhaenyra didn't mind the scolding as she continued to look admirably at her sister keeping the smile on her lips and nodding along with no thought behind those eyes "you look beautiful today sister" the young princess was quick to change the subject taking her time to drink in her sister's beauty

elaenys rolled her eyes but smiled nonetheless "come before you are late for the council meeting, a cupbearer is never to be late" she teased lightly grasping the young sister's arm as they walked

rhaenyra threw her a look "you could always join me, i'm sure father won't mind" the young princess shrugged leaning into the woman

elaenys hummed "i wish to be with mother rather than be in a room filled with argumentive men who will surely bore me to my early grave"

the young princess laughed "so you'd leave your baby sister to fend for herself amongst those men"

elaenys simply grinned "you can handle yourself just fine my dearest" she dropped a kiss on her sister's cheek as rhaenyra's cheeks flushed lightly at the gesture

the carriage beside elaenys one and out stepped alicent, rhaenyra's friend. elaenys narrowed her eyes subtly at the hightower girl as she felt very guided and protected when she, her mother and her sister was near any hightower. she did not trust them for many reasons she kept to herself

"princess elaenys" alicent courtesied when seeing elaenys with rhaenyra

"lady alicent" elaenys smiled small in politeness in respect for the friendship she shared with rhaenyra

rhaenyra was obvious to elaenys dislike towards her friend as she tore her admiring gaze she had on her sister and looked to her friend "i shall meet you at the keep nyra" elaenys kissed her sister's cheek once more before she walked to her own carriage and got in, not wanting to ride with alicent and rhaenyra because she knew it would be awkward for her

rhaenyra's eyes followed to where her elder sister's carriage took off still in a daze "rhaenyra!" the voice of alicent broke rhaenyra from her daze

"mhm what?" alicent shook her head at how easily distracted her friend was "we need to go before you are late"

rhaenyra shook the daze away walking in the carriage her mind staying on every feature of elaenys face, seeming to have all who looked at her in a trance
