Jeongins pov
I walked into the cafe I knew minho would be working at, it's almost the end of his shift. Perfect time to ask him to sit with me , I'll order him something a drink maybe a cake to. I'll win him some how.
I joined the short line, only five people were ahead of me and minhos pretty quick when taking orders , I looked at what was on the menu and smiled . Perfect
Soon enough i was at the front and I made eye contact with him, his brown eyes shining like pool's of golden honey in the rooms lighting " oh...jeongin " his cheeks went slightly pink
" minho" I smiled " I would like to order the milk tea, two cheesecakes and an iced americano"
" oh, you got a date?" He asked in a mumble
" yes, if you can come off your shift early" I replied
" uhm, oh" he covered his face with the hand that wasn't using the machine to shelter it from me making me chuckle "y-yeah, I can do that...lemme find soyeon . She can take over the tills"
He scurried away, I couldnt wipe the smile from my face. He's adorable, simply adorable. He's also horrible at playing hard to get when my presence catches him by surprise.
He soon came back and gestured for me to follow him to a table nearby , we sat down on this two person table opposite from eachother " you need to stop catching me off guard like this at work" he giggled slightly, fiddling with the sleeves of his jumper " stalker "
" rude. Just because I'm a regular client doesn't mean it's for you" I joked being taken aback " what am I saying? It's most definitely for you, catching you off guard is the best part of my day. You get so flustered just by my presence"
" I know " he replied , a prominent smile on his face as he avoided eye contact " I know that you're here for me that is, not that I'm flustered...because im not" he denied " point is, I'm busy sometimes " he kicked my leg lightly beneath the table
" you didn't have to say yes " I smirked
" I thought it'd be a nice break" he replied
I held one of his hands making his face flame up instantaneously " are you sure about that , minho?" I asked, my eyebrow slightly raised
He didn't know what to say for a moment " we have exams coming up...shouldn't you be studying? Not letting me distract you?"
" I think studying you is better , dear" I smirked and titled my head to the side slightly " you're the one who agreed to go on a date with me, no amount of playing hard to get is convincing me"
He whined " I can't handle flirting" he mumbled
" okay then, that's enough torture for you today. Talk to me min, I wanna know everything about you" I rested my elbow on the table and supported my head with my hand
" theres drama" he snickered, I oooo'd
" tell me! I want updates on everything that's going on" I smiled widley, eager to hear him talking about anything that put that beautiful smile on his lips
" you wanna know?" He looked almost shocked
I furrowed my brows " well yeah, I'm interested. Plus, anything that will make you laugh or just talk in general is worth sitting and listening to all the drama"
He smiled widley " thank you"
" of course, now. Update me" I chuckled
" so, basically. Soobin and yeonjun have been dating for like forever now, but they had an argument and a girl from the art department is hitting on soobin and he looks like he could be into but he's gay so we are all like. What's going on? We think maybe he's pretending to be into her so yeonjun will forgive him for whatever happened but we are like...so confused" he explained " realationships can be sucky, I'm so scared to get into one"
" whys that?" I hummed
" well, because in the past I haven't been treated great in realationships and I'm really not prepared to be used again " he shook his head " I'm sure that now I'm older it won't be much of an issue, I'm smarter now than I was then"
" i would hope so, for someone who reads as much as you do it seems like your brain should be getting bigger every page you complete because I've noticed you don't just read it, you absorb it" I replied
" I kinda do, don't I?" He chuckled "I love reading and all that stuff, do you have anything like that?"
" music, It's not much but it's my escape" I nodded
" it's good to have an escape, whether it be in literature and poetry or rock music or art or whatever it is. It's good to have a five minute getaway from life" minho smiled " how was your day?"
" my day?" I repeated " wow, I don't get asked that alot " I chuckled " well, it was good. I got alot of work done, me and the guys were just goofing around on and off. I had the best view in lessons and I do now. Pretty great day if you ask me"
" you're flustering me" he said jokingly, but I could tell the comment had actually gotten to him from how his cheeks had gone pink yet again
Soon enough our food and drinks arrived and we ate them and drank them while talking about anything that came to mind, both of us had smiles on our faces the whole time making his eyes scrunch up happily and cutely. God, I can't put into words how much I love spending time with this man
" I love your eyes" I admitted while sipping on my milk tea
" you do?" He replied, I nodded " thank you, I love your smile"
" thank you...I used to get bullied for how my smile looks. They said it made me look like a monster " I became quiet for a moment " but that....I appreciate it so much. Oh, and min" he hummed "it's one thing playing hard to get which your failing at right now by the way, but if I do cross any boundaries tell me. I don't want to upset you"
" so thoughtful" he said softly " I'll tell you, but I can't see you doing anything wrong so I doubt I'll need to"
He patted the top of my head before switching to a cheerier topic for us to talk and laugh about for as long as we wanted
