Magic is Overrated

Moon's POV

I was just swiming down the river looking for any other food, since eclipse wouldn't stop complaining about fish being the only thing to eat. I spotted a village of humans with baskets of fruit on the side of the river.

'Perfect'

I started to swim close to the basket but low to not be seen. When no one was looking I took it and swam off immediately. The basket had all kinds of fruit. When I swam back I kept my upper half above the water holding the basket since the fruit would go everywhere in underwater. I then see on the side of the river three used targets. I swam closer a bit wondering why there are targets just hanging on vines in the middle of the forest. I then saw another vine pulled by somthing now making the targets swinging all over very fast.

*thump, thump, thump*

Three thumbs were heard as the three arrows shot right in the middle of each target. I dunked into the water after I saw that, now feeling uneasy of whoever shot those arrows. What made me more worried was how they shot bullseye in each moving target in such little time. I waited a bit and a few minutes passed, so I decided to go up to see if it was safe.

"Hmmm"

My head shot the other way around to see a human dress in yellow and red sitting on a branch of a tree high up. They were just humming while sharpening the same type of arrows that shot the targets. Each with a little sun symbol on the back of the arrow. They don't seem to see me which is good since I don't want to be involved with humans. Humans are probably the most hated species out of all of them. I then try to find the fruit basket to see it washed up on the side of the river next to a tree. NEXT TO THE DAMN TREE THE HUMAN IS ON.

'Crap!'

I tired to get it without the human noticing. As I was grabbing the basket the human looked out me.

"You good there?"

The human speaked as I jolted back into the water leaving the basket. I went to the other side of the river away from them as they went down the tree and picked up the basket.

"These yours?" The human looked at the basket then at me holding out the basket.

"Umm... yes they are" I replied back still unsure of them.

"Welp here." The human put the basket on the water and pushed it towards me as it was floating. The human then turned and began to walk off.

"Wait your not going to attack me?" I asked before I slapped my hand on my mouth to shut myself up.

"Mmm?" The human looked back with a confused look.

"Well you have arrows with great aim, so why are you not after me for my magic?"I asked again while still unsure if I should just ran away.
"Ugh... Magic is Overrated why would I waste my time with that if I got this skill?" The human said holding up their bow and arrows.

"But humans are always hunting other creatures for magic?" I replied still shocked that they said magic was Overrated.

"Don't match the stereotypes Don't I, well you don't either and here we are. Your not aggressive or mindless." The human said pointing an arrow at me but that with the bow just their hand.

"I guess..." I'm now more calmed. "Well what are you doing alone, don't humans stay in groups?" I noticed no others around him or anywhere.

"Kinda a loner, mostly because I'm not obsessed with magic like they are." The human said sounded a bit annoyed.

I feel like imma regret this "Well if your alone then why not join us?" I said as I came I little Closer. "I live with a Witch and a dragon who doesn't fit the stereotypes like we do." I continue on not sure if this was a good idea.

"Umm sure why not." The human agreed. "You lead the way!" The human said now In a cheerful tone.

Eclipse's POV

Me and Lunar were just hanging about waiting for moon to return. When then heard swiming and..... footsteps? Me and Lunar then see moon swiming towards us with a HUMAN FOLLOWING THEM.

"Moon there's a human right behind you idiot!" I screamed out jumping towards the human.

"Wait they are like us!" Moon was able to stop Lunar and but I was too raged I didn't hear him.

"Ay! Calm the fuck down!" The human yelled as they pulled out an arrow  aimed at me before I could get closer.

"Both of you calm down!" Moon yelled at us. When than sat down as moon started to explain. "As I may be wondering why I brought a human is because they are like us. They don't like magic instead their skill they is archery." Moon explained to us.

"Well what the fuck you actually think of magic human?" I growled at them since I didn't trust him one bit.

"I think it's Overrated if anything." The human said leaving me and Lunar both shocked. "Why steal another's abilities if you could just make better ones of your own?" The human explained clearly showing they are not a fan of magic.

"Well if that's what you think I guess you can stay if you mean no harm." Lunar spoke with a small smile. " by the way the orange one is Eclipse, the blue one you came with is moon, and I'm lunar!" Lunar explained pointing to the person they were talking about.

"Well my name is sunrise or sun for short!" Sun replied in a joyful voice.

Sun's POV

We continued to talk getting to know each other better and how we ended up here. Later on we started to build another room for me expanding the little hut. At the end the room had a desk,bed,and a couch.

"That's all for today! We for sure need sleep now." Lunar spoke with a tired voice.

"Agreed" I replied while so did the others. We all started heading for bed as it was late and we were all tired.

'Finally some peace....'
