The day had come for Alexander's discharge from the hospital, marking a new chapter in his journey towards recovery. James and Evelyn stood by his side, ready to support him as he transitioned back to his home. I didn't want to intrude on your space. But now that you're home, I can start bringing some of my things over."He looked relieved, a glimmer of understanding in his eyes. "That makes sense. I'm glad you'll be here with me. It'll help with my recovery."James interjected, his voice filled with support. "Absolutely, buddy. Having Evelyn here will provide the care and support you need during this time. We'll get through this together."As they settled into the house, Evelyn couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt for the lies she had woven. She knew that the truth would eventually surface, but for now, she had to maintain the charade to ensure Alexander's emotional well-being.Days turned into weeks, and Evelyn dedicated herself to Alexander's recovery.
