The pub was alive with the smooth sounds of a saxophone, filling the air with enchanting melodies. I sat at a cozy table near the stage, my eyes were fixed on best friend Taehyung. He is a good musician, and his performances always put me under his spell. It's the passion in his eyes that drew me in, making me feel like I was a part of the music.
Taehyung walked to me with a playful smirk, and with sparkling eyes. "Did you enjoy the show, Dalgie?"
I chuckled warmly. "Oh, absolutely, Taehyung! Your saxophone skills are like pure magic to me."
We spent the night chatting, laughing, and maybe we had a drink or two.
As the night went on, Taehyung sweetly offered to walk me home. I like spending does kind of moment with him, just the two of us joking about our day. When we reached my doorstep, Taehyung turned to me with a genuine concern in his eyes.
"You know, Jimin and Jungkook have been asking about you," he said softly. "They really miss hanging out with you."
The expression of my face changed, now you can read the saddens in it. I replied with a vulnerable voice. "I don't wanna get into it, Taehyung. My answer will always be no."
Taehyung's expression softened, understanding the weight of those memories. "I get it, Dalgie. I know it hurts. It breaks my heart to see you hurting. But I'll always respect your decision. All I want is to see you happy," he murmured, his voice full of sincerity. "You deserve all the love and joy in the world."
He wrapped me in his arms, we said our goodnights. As I stepped into the comfort of my home, my heart was full of emotions. I treasured Taehyung's support, grateful for having him in my life. But the scars that come from or past shared memories are too deep.
The next day, after finishing my shift at the mental health center, I was surprised to see Taehyung waiting at the entrance. He waves at me, with a cute smile on his face. "Ready to conquer this day, Dalgie?"
I couldn't help it but smile at him back. "Always, Taehyung. Especially when I have you by my side."
