(Y/N Pov)
Me: So what are we doing exactly?
At the moment my family and I are walking through Kyoto. With me being confused about exactly why we are here and what we're doing. I mean everything looks pretty cool here but if we were here for a vacation then we'd bring stuff along. I mean that's what we did the other times when we went to places like France, Hawaii, and other places. Also the fact only Mia is here tells me something is different other than a vacation. Well, I guess they could be busy since we just found out that Steph is pregnant for the second time.
Sarah(Your mom): We're here Y/N because one of the factions wanted to talk about a deal we made years and years ago.
Me: What deal?
Sarah: You'll see me soon Y/N. Be patient, please.
Me: Alright.
I mentally sigh because I just wish I knew why I've gotta be here. I could be doing something more productive like... playing video games. Yeah, video games are more productive than what we're doing right now. I look around seeing all the different vendors selling their products to people. With just a simple glance I'm able to tell who's a tourist and who's a local. I usually wouldn't do this but I mean... there's nothing else to do. It's not like we're here on vacation and looking at stuff. My parents have something we need to do. Soon enough we make it to a path that leads into the forest and there's no one around. Like literally no one. I get slightly worried wondering what exactly is happening. As we're walking up the fairly steep path I start getting nervous as no one is saying anything... Like at all. But what's creepy is I swear I can hear people moving around all over the place. From the left, right, behind, in front, and hell even above us. But my parents and sister don't seem to be worried so I guess I shouldn't be. But I'm still gonna be on guard. Soon enough we make it to a temple where I see a woman along with a few people wearing masks.
Woman: Greeting Mr. and Mrs. L/N. It's a pleasure to have you both along with your kids come visit us.
Eric: And it's a pleasure to see you again Yasaka, is Kunou doing alright?
Yasaka: Yes after what he did she was fairly bad but she's gotten better.
Eric: I'm glad, so I'm assuming you know what we're here for?
Yasaka: Correct. Everyone disperse!
As she says this the group of people wearing masks that were surrounding her disappear. Leaving just her standing there as she turns around. I get caught up wondering what's going on not seeing my parents and sister already left. I quickly run over to them to catch up as we walk into the temple. Walking through it I see the old-fashioned Japanese-style walls, doors, and even decorations. But surprisingly there's no one else here until we make it to a door. Where two people stand guard. The woman named Yasaka nods at them before they open the door and allows all of us to see a set of stairs going down. Once again we follow Yasaka who walks down the stairs. Making it downstairs I activate my power to be able to slow down time for myself to look around and it looks like a sacrificial area. Wait! I'm not being sacrificed, am I?!
Yasaka: So you have the sacrifice?
Wait a god- OW! Damn minute, I ain't gonna be no sacrifice.
Mia: Y/N you're not a sacrifice.
Me: Wait how'd you know... Wait I'm gonna shut up now.
Geez, I'm so nervous I just forgot we can all read people's minds. All of us walk over to the concrete table in the middle of the room.
Sarah: Y/N please sit down on the table.
Me: I want to know why I need to first.
Mia: It's something we've all gone through Y/N. Our family and Youkai faction used to have a very good relationship. It got very bad and the deal was broken but now it's back thanks to our ancestors.
