(Y/N Pov)
Me: Alright... we're done.
Looking down both Rumi and Grayfia are laying down on beds that are next to each other. Both are passed out since when changing peerage pieces it can take a lot out of the two people changing. Even if they didn't have a peerage piece inside them previously. Mainly because the piece is taken out is going through lots of magic draining in a few seconds. And without magic, it can make us extremely tired to the point of even going into a coma. I reach up before wiping some sweat from my forehead as I lean back in the chair.
Me: Solution, come here, please.
I hear footsteps behind me until I'm able to see my maid who doesn't specialize in healing but knows the basics and enough to heal people if needed. Solution Epsilon.
Me: Watch over these two until they wake up and make sure they get something to eat and drink after they do wake up.
Solution: No problem.
I stand up and she takes her seat back while I walk outside the room where my Shalltear greets me. She was the closest maid and I wanted someone to be here to make sure no one distracted us while I worked.
Me: Shalltear, please tell Rias I'm going here. She should understand and if not then tell her to message or call me while she's alone.
Shalltear: It will be done right away.
She bows before I teleport myself away from my house and in front of a temple. Unlike most days the place is completely empty of any life other than some birds in the distance. But as I'm walking up to the front door it opens allowing me to see a woman with flowing long black hair and red eyes.
???: Greetings Lord Y/N.
Me: And greetings to you Lady Himejima.
Suzaku: Please, come in.
I nod before heading inside and taking off my shoes at the front door making sure to keep them lined with the other shoes. I follow behind Lady Himejima better known as Suzaku Himejima and Akeno's cousin. Walking into a room she moves over to the table before sitting down. I do the same except I sit across from her.
Me: Well then, now that we know no one is watching I believe we can drop the formalities and get to business.
Suzaku: Works for me. So how is Akeno doing?
Me: She's been doing well since the last time we met and seems to be enjoying the facilities at my house. There's been a few times I've caught her going swimming or to relax in the hot spring. She's also been getting stronger as Rias and I have both implemented a training schedule.
Suzaku: Yes, I heard that one town was recently attacked not too long ago. Is that the reason?
Me: Correct.
Suzaku: Was... was there any survivors?
Me: Unfortunately only one was able to be saved. We got information about it being attacked too late so by the time we got they had already passed. Thankfully we saved one which has given us at least some basic information about our enemies. As the next head of my clan, I won't let them get away with killing people who trusted in us.
Suzaku: Will there be a war?
Me: It's a high possibility. If this continues we will have no choice but to fight back, but I assure you that Akeno will be kept safe-
Suzaku: I know you will protect her Y/N. After all, one requirement for my future husband has to be able to protect his family at all costs.
I shake my head with a smile on my face knowing about this whole marriage thing. It feels like a lot of my conversations recently have dealt with engagements or marriages. Rias who I've been engaged to since I was a kid apparently, Grayfia who I'm now technically engaged to now, and Suzaku whose family quickly have been trying to find a way to apologize since they attacked me years ago. From what I've heard, after they attacked Akeno and me as I was attempting to save her they realized who I was. Because my family's former name still to this day spreads fear amongst people they've done quite a lot to apologize. Even offering Suzaku up as a political marriage in hopes we don't destroy their clan. Which once again, they likely know we could have done in the past. Our family is known for at least 10 clans' downfalls and some even going extinct.
