Chapter 2

i brought my blanket with me and didn't mind whatever lawrence was saying, i went downstairs with my pajamas and sat sa chair ko, i was at my office. Yes, kahit sa bahay ay nagtatrabaho ako, this is how much i wanted to show my parents how eager i am. Then, someone knocked at my glass door,

i looked up and saw adonnis.

“hm? i thought naka-uwi ka na?” i said, not looking at him.

“ah ma’am, may problema po kasi.” he awkwardly laughed,

“yes, ano 'yon?”

“ma’am kung hindi niyo po napapansin, it's raining cats and dogs po ma’am.” i looked up at him, confused?

“cats and dogs?”

“y-yes ma’am, ayan po oh, malakas ang ulan” i looked at my window where outside was see through and yes, it was raining heavily.

“e-eh ma’am, hindi po kasi ako pinababyahe ng inay ko kapag ganiyan kalakas 'yung ulan e, baka daw madisgrasya ako.” he said, sounding nervous.

i chuckled a bit with the expression of his face, para bang takot na takot sa akin.

“you can use my room.” i said, continuing my work.

“h-ha? e po ma’am, first day ay hindi first night of work ko po ito, t-tapos magtatabi na po agad tayo sa kama?? p-para naman pong hindi po tama 'yon ma'am!”, he keeps stuttering, i looked up at him weirdly then laughed.

“don’t worry adonnis, i won’t be sleeping there tonight.” i assured him.

“e san po kayo matutulog ma’am?“

i made a moment of silence at his questions.

“ayoko ng matanong, mr. jonson.” i smiled at him.

“ah ganon po ba ma’am? sige po, sorry po.” he nervously laughed.

“s-sige po ma’am, punta na po ako” he awkwardly walks off.

as i was finishing up my upcoming project for tomorrow, i suddenly heard a scream, i stood up and looked for what had happen, then the realization hit me. I never told adonnis where my room was, i hurriedly ran upstairs and saw felise pointing at adonnis and was shivering while lawrence was holding her waist while scolding lawrence.

i hurriedly came up to them, shoving away lawrence's hands, “that's fucking enough.”
i looked at him coldly.

“you know this theif?, ah alam ko na, did you hire him to hurt felise?”

i scoffed, kakapal ng mga mukha ng mga 'to.

“and why would i do that? sa tingin mo ba with all these paper works bombing at me, may time pa ako to waste para sa inyong dalawa? hell no, you're not that important honestly, so stop jumping to conclusions, Mr. Rivera” i rolled my eyes at him, covering adonnis with my arms.

“malay ko ba? kasi sa pagkakakilala ko sa’yo, you're that kind of person to do that.“ he evily smirked.

“and what will i gain if i wasted my time with you two, idiots?” i raised my brows,

“i don't know, you tell me. Ms. Guiterrez.” he furrowed his brows.

“bakit kasi, hindi mo nalang sabihin jan sa boyfriend mo na mag-sorry dito kay felise.”

ang kapal talaga ng mukha ng hayop na'to kahit kailan.

“and why should he? did he harm your little princess? because clearly he did nothing wrong and he had my permission to sleep at my room!” the argument continued.

“at ako? may permiso ba ako?”

“wow, tell me why i should ask for your permission, this is my house.“ i crossed my arms.

he corsses his arms as well, “pamamahay ko din ’to, dani!”

“don’t you fucking call me dani, hindi tayo close, mr. rivera, we're hardly close.” i squirted my eyes as i said that, my words filled with abger and frustration.

“so don’t call me love as well, talagang ramdam na ramdam ko kung gaano gustong gusto mo kapag tinatawag mo ako nun, huh? you're still not over me, yet, ms. Gutierrez?”

“i didn't know na makapal na ang mukha mo ngayon, mr. rivera, and i admit, nakaka-cringe ang mga sinasabi mo. almost like i want to puke right now, right here, sa harapan niyo.” he sarcastically laughed.

just then, i felt a hand holding my arms,

“let's go baby,  let's just ignore them.” adonnis winked at me as he dragged me papunta sa room ko and i can see lawrence looking offended

as soon as we entered the room, adonnis started running around like crazy, holding his head agressively “ah-ano 'yon? what was that? nakakahiya, ma’am Gutierrez, i-fa-fire niyo na po ba ako?” i giggled as i saw his cuteness when he was terribly worried. he seemed more worried when he so me laughing at him.

“no, i won’t fire you, adonnis.” i keep assuring him.

“e-eh ma’am, papaano po 'yung kanina? baka po patayin ako ni sir!” which made me laugh even more.

“you're funny, mr. jonson”

“ma’am naman, what if lang naman po e!”

“he won’t do that, he won’t dare to.”

“e ma’am, kahit na po, ano po gagawin ko? pano ko po ito sosolusyunan!”

“i don't know, you tell me, mr. johnson, you made this, you fix this.” i grinned at him,

“ma'am-”

“don’t come out, if you need something call me, you see that phone beside the bed, kung nauuhaw ka, call me, dial 772. that's the number of my office, para hindi ka na mapag-tripan nung dalawa, hm?” i said, as i was about to leave.

“o-opo ma’am, sige po”

i went back sa office after that, pero bago ako umalis at sinigurado kong hindi siya pinuntahan ni lawrence pagka-alis ko.

It was 3 am and i decided to check uo on adonnis,

i saw him so wet with his pawis, he hadn't turned on the aircon, i went up to him and woke him up,

he immediately got up, i gave him a handkerchief i got from my drawer,

“bakit hindi mo binuksan 'yung aircon?” i said, my hand on my waist.

“e ma’am masyado po kasing malamig”

“e tingnan mo naman 'yang kapag walang aircon, pawis na pawis ka. Why didn’t you open the window sa balcony?”

“baka po kasi pasukin po kayo e”

i laughed again, madaling araw na pero hindi ko talaga mapigilang hindi matawa sa mindset ni adonnis.

i handed him my blanket and turned on the aircon,

“is this alright?“

he nodded inoccently with a smile,

“gigisingin ka bukas nila aling roanne, i will contact a stylist bukas ng umaga para sa susuotin mo.”

“po, ma’am?”

“ano? you're planning to uwi pa muna bago pumasok sa work? mauuna pa 'yung boss mo kesa sa’yo?“ i raised my brows.

“sabi ko nga po ma’am, sige po, goodnight po ma’am.”

i smiled as he laid down.

“atsaka po pala ma’am-“ nagulat ako sa bigla niyang pagsasalita.

“ay sorry po, ano po kasi ma’am baka po may kailangan po kayo? juice? coffee? food? i kukuha ko po kayo”

“no need to donnis, besides him mo pa nga alam ang way dito sa bahay.”
