Prologue

"Damn, I'm tired."

I stretched my arms at tinanggal ang gitara sa pagkakasabit sa akin at ibinaba ito sa stand nito. Umupo naman ako sa upuan at ipinikit ang mata.

"Care for a water break?" wika ni Shrey.

I opened my eyes and took the water, "Thanks."

Binuksan 'ko ito at ininom na.

Refreshing.

"They're up next right?" sabi ni Jewel.

I grabbed my phone and opened it. Bumungad dito ang mga messages galing sa boyfriend 'ko.

"They're called King's arent they? Exact opposite of ours." sabi ni Ariella habang nagreretouch ito.

"Yup, and girls are dying to be with them." sagot 'ko at itinutok na ang atensyon sa cellphone.

As I read my boyfriend's message, I've thought that it's that thing again.

"Sierra, I've found someone who I truly love. I'm sorry. Let's break up."

Is what his last message contained.

I can feel my eyes tearing up, kaya naman nagpaalam akong magpapahangin lamang sa labas.

"Magpapahangin lang ako sa labas." paalam 'ko sa mga ito at lumabas na sa room.

Nang makalabas ay naglakad ako patungo sa dalampasigan at nang makarating ay tinanggal 'ko ang sandals 'kong suot. I walked at the cold sand while my tears are running down my face.

I looked at my phone and dialed my boyfriend's number. It took a minute before he answered.

"Hello?" He answered.

Humihikbing nagsalita ako,

"Why?" tanong 'ko rito.

A moment of silence passed bago ito sumagot.

"I love her. I'm sorry."

"Am I not enough?" tanong 'ko rito.

"You are." he answered.

I am?? Then what made him cheat on me?

"Then why?!" I angrily asked him.

I can't stop my tears from running down through my face and I feel out of breath due to crying. Mabuti na lamang at walang tao rito.

"Because I've found happiness I don't have when I'm with you. I'm truly sorry Sierra." he said that made me fall down from where I'm standing.

It hurts. So damn much.

I ended the call and looked at the moon.

"Am I that unlucky in love?" I asked the moon as if it's going to answer me.

It's not like it's the first time I got cheated on. I've had four breakups and it always end up with them cheating on me, or getting tired of me. But... It's not like it doesn't hurt everytime that happens.

"Why ask the moon? It's not gonna answer you lady."

I looked at the one who spoke just now.

"Then should I have asked you then, Mr. Who I don't know?" I sarcastically asked him and rolled my eyes. I wiped the tears from my face while the man sat down beside me.

He handed me a white handkerchief. So, I looked at him.
