FEMI

    Which kind bad market?
               -Sarah

"Remember to do your assignment!" The male teacher yelled over the sound of the bell.

Was he being heard? No. The students at the front were already walking out the class.

Kings turned to me, "Let's go."

"Oooh! I hate going to Business studies!" Sarah rolled her eyes as she grudgingly stood up.

Chinny smacked her with her note, "you don't like any subject."

I picked up my bag.

"You!" The male teacher pointed at me.

"Wait behind."

Sarah looked at him and shrugged, " Mr Dan doesn't bite. I think. We'd be outside."

Chinny pulled her along as they walked out laughing at something.

"Tell your friend." He said staring at kings, "to excuse us."

Kings chuckled, "Sir I don't think it would be wise leaving you with a female student after what happened the last time."

Mr Dan picked up his books and pointed his cane at me.

"You ... meet me at my office after school hours."

I managed to say, "sir I don't think it would be possible."

" i see" he said staring at kings then me. He nodded his head as he walked away saying, "we will see."

I tugged at kings arms , "What happened the last time?"

"Just stay away from him. He's bad news." Kings warned as he tapped my shoulder lightly.

"Thank you.." I whispered hanging my bag. "I was very scared."

"Finally!" Sarah groaned as we walked out.

Chinny grinned, "Hey kings."

"Where exactly is this business studies class?"I walked by Sarah's side.

"Next block. That woman is harsh. If you're late to her class you'll pick pins."Sarah demonstrated.

Kings was saying, "Chinny stop it. People are watching."

"Let them watch" chinny said as she held his hands.

Sarah winked at me and shifted a bit closer.

"Sooo about pascal? He's fine Abi?"

Kings coughed, "Fine and Pascal should not be used in the same sentence."

"It's true, Kings is even finer than him. Because he's not doing bad boy. That's why." Chinny smiled as she waved a girl in the class we just passed.

"That's my school daughter." She explained.

I said, "she's fine o!"

We passed the last class and strolled out the building. With Sarah on the lead, we got to the business study class but the lady was not around. We stood outside confused.

Sarah lamented, "Which kind bad market?"

"I'm hungry. I want to eat ice cream." Chinny pouted at kings.

He shrugged, "Oya go and buy now."

"I don't have money. Gimme" she stretched out her hand.

Kings looked at Sarah and laughed, "why will I give you money?"

"Because..." She said looking at the ground.

Sarah winked at her, "Because...."

"Abeg I'm hungry. I'll go get something else." Chinny muttered walking away.

Sarah yelled, "wait now" running after her.

"You know ..." I told kings.

He sighed, " I know... want to get some icecream?"

"But..." I said.

Kings turned, "it's okay if you don't want...."

"I don't know what to say. I mean...." I trailed off.

He looked at me and nodded.
"Let's go!" He pulled me along.

I begged, "Wait! My shoe... let me wear it properly.."

At the moment I bent to wear my shoe well, a girl coming from the other direction almost tripped because of my bent legs.

"Sorry!" I said.

She looked me up and down then stared at kings and back to me. She drawled out a long hiss before she walked away.

Kings said, "Don't mind Xylie she has an attitude problem."

I stared at her as she walked away and nodded my head. Kings took me to the icecream shop and asked me for my favorite flavor I said chocolate.

"Two cups of chocolate please."he said.

He got them and handed mine to me. I thanked him and was about taking my first spoon when Chinny and Sarah strolled in laughing. They stopped when they saw me and kings holding cups of ice cream. Chinny gave me a cold look before buying her ice cream.

She told Kings, " I thought you said you did not have money?"

"Hey Femi!" Pascal yelled and I literally cringed to see him approaching with the two guys he was talking to earlier.

"Afar na?"
