Friday rolled around. The school had a pep-rally outside for the sports teams at the end of the day.
The girls and I wander away from the crowd of students. We were skipping the pep-rally and just hanging out in a secluded back part of the school. We all could still see students walking past but they couldn't see us.
The area was behind the cafeteria and the break area, where they would sell snacks if anyone wanted something. I felt bad for the cafeteria workers everyone would crowd the window at times like this for a drink or bag of chips.
The girls were talking about the outfits they bought for the party and wanted to know what I'm planning on wearing. "It's a surprise." I said and they kept begging and I continued "Nope there is no way I'm telling and you guys let it slip that I'm dressing up for Jimin." The girls only become more curious but I draw their attention away when I mentioned Namjoon walking by, leaving the snack area and meeting up with the rest of his friends.
Pelum is the first to freak out and peek around the wall and catch a glimpse, if anyone saw I swear she would look like a stalker. She really was obsessed with him. Myeong and Rose follow not long after. Everyone agreed that Joonie was extremely attractive but Pelum was the only one who liked him and his quirky personality, that was also very clumsy and destructive when he fell.
We got bored and decided to play truth or dare, I was the first to be asked the gut wrenching question.
"Truth or dare" Hailey said. Hailey had an evil look on her face like she had this planned for a while.
"Well truth is always boring and I feel ballsy today sooo...DARE!" I was excited but nervous, and it showed in my speech.
"OK you see J-hope? Go over to him and ask if he likes Rose."
Rose then blurted out "Hey why does she have to ask my crush?! Why not yours?"
"Cause you will never do it for yourself if she won't." Hailey blurted out again.
"Fine, but don't make it obvious. Ok?" Rose gave in.
"Alright I'll do it." I said as I got up and started towards the snack bar where J-hope was...and so was Jimin...fuck my lifffeeeee, why did Hailey tell me to do this now?
Jimin looked up at me, making eye contact that we both ended up breaking by quickly looking away from each other. J-hope noticed Jimin's sudden movements, looked back, saw me and smiled. I start panicking and have no choice but to smile back...thank god J-hope is friendly. He doesn't bite, he's too nice. Jimin looked back at me as J-hope told him something, he then smirked and waved at me.
Oh my, I don't know why I found that so attractive but I just did, and then I felt a sudden warmth come to my pale cheeks. I know I'm blushing and it's extremely visible but I can't back out now, they both saw me... So I just kept walking.
"Hey, Jeon told us you and your friends are coming to our party." J-hope said when I had finally reached them. He said it in his usual voice that Rose loves, and in his charming attitude just as friendly and sweet as he always was.
"Yeah we are, oh and by the way I forgot to thank him for the invite. I was just really taken off guard by it," I said and then chuckled "We don't usually talk much so I didn't expect it." I tried to be as sweet as possible and still have Jimin's attention, I was worried I was boring to him so I kept trying to make eye contact, but was always to scared to maintain it, however he never looked away from me.
"Sorry we assumed since you were in the same grade it would be better for him to give you the invite. We didn't mean to surprise you." Jimin said, worried as if he was scared we weren't going to attend.
"It's OK don't worry, we are coming to the party for sure, we wouldn't miss it for the world after seeing there's a dance part to it. The girls and I are actually in a dance group and we perform a lot of hip-hop routines, maybe you can see some while we're there. But that's if you're lucky." I said to Jimin and couldn't help but giggle and smile after saying that.
"You're in a dance group?! That's awesome so are we!" Both guys said this in unison.
"Awesome, looks like this will be a lot of fun then" I replied and smiled.
"Oh yah I just remembered! I came here with a question. Haha, I forget too easily. I was on a mission when I came here." Wow that sounded better in my head than it did out loud I'm such a dork...I internally face palmed at that remark...
"What's your question?" Jimin asked while him and J-hope were laughing at my awkwardness.
"It's actually for J-hope..." Jimin looked upset when I said this for some reason.
"Um I'm going to try and explain this as best as possible but I don't know if it will come out right so yeah." I started my explanation with a warning so I could buy some more time to figure out what to say, and I guess I accidentally made it sound like I was about to confess my love to J-hope.
Haha yah right!
But I could tell he thought that because J-hope's face scrunched up like he was about to hear something he didn't want to know.
"There's a rumor going around that you like Rose... and I am just curious if it's true? Because if not I can help clear it up...or if it is...you know I can try and help you set something up." I said with a hopeful expression, pun not intended I swear...
When I said this J-hope's face un-scrunched and Jimin automatically smiled at J-hope and nudged J-hope's arm with his elbow. "Umm..." J-hope said and laughed as he scratched the back of his neck. "Do you know how the rumor spread?" He said nervously.
"No, all I know is Myeong, Pelum, and Whitney all came to us when we met up saying they were told you like her. I wanted to know if it was true so hear I am." I honestly didn't know I could come up with something like this so quickly. I had no game plan going into this all and now I have a some-what believable story...
"Could you actually help me set something up with her?..."
