Aman's POV
I'm at work and wish I could leave. I'm very worried about Pritey's health these days, but today of all the days work just couldn't finish.
Max, my supervisor, came up to me and said that I'm needed at the manager's office, so I left everything in my hands and went there.
Upon entering, he left the papers he was holding and mentioned for me to sit.
"Mr Nanda, I will go straight to the point," he said, and I felt bad about the outcome but only nodded.
"You have been working here for years and showed a remarkable sense of responsibility, but it's time for the company to renew the staff," he said flatly.
My head starts to hurt. Upon hearing the information is he saying what I think he is?
"Mr Nanda, someone else will take your place starting tomorrow. " he said and I stared at him in disbelief.
"Tomorrow! But Sir , I need some time u know to ..."
"Mr Nanda, it's not my problem, your
services is not required anymore. "
I was in rage of course but gathered my things and left.
I was driving back home with my thoughts all over the place when My phone flashed it's Sara pritey's friend.
I answered the call and put it on speaker so I could focus on my driving
"Yes Sara, how was the rehearsals?" I asked
"Aman.. we are in the hospital Pritey just fainted and nobody is saying anything to Me ."
Upon hearing that I cut the call and drove as fast as possible.
Arriving I asked about my wife and went to her room.
I found Sara and a nurse talking
Once Sara saw me she sighed in relief
"Finally, he's her husband, can u please say anything about her condition? " Sara said and I nodded.
"The doctor has checked on her and we will get the results soon enough. "
"Can I see her? " I asked
"Of course" She said and I went in with her.
She looked tired and pale but still beautiful, hope she's going to be okay, and everything else would be solved.
After fifteen minutes of me being in the room, I felt her movement and held her hand.
"Sweetheart, glad you're awake u scared me. " I said helping her sitting up.
" glad you're here, I don't know what happened exactly suddenly I just fainted. "
Kissing her hand "u have been feeling tired lately, you're not giving yourself a chance to rest properly. " I said
"Don't worry, I'm fine " she said and I was about to protest but the doctor came back with the results.
"Congratulations, Mrs Nanda you're pregnant,!" The doctor said.
Pritey and Aman stared at him in shock for a moment.
"What...? , are u sure? " Pritey asked still shocked.
The doctor smiled "yes your tastes are showing that you're three weeks pregnant. " he said
Pritey smiled from ear to ear
"You heard that Aman, we're having a baby."
Aman was still at shock but smiled as the doctor left Both of them.
"I'm going to be a father! " He shouted and pritey smiled.
"Aman we're in a hospital ."
"I don't care, I love you so much sweetheart, I can't even explain to u ...I'm so happy. " he said and held her gently.
Pritey's heart was full with happiness
"I love u too" she said and both stayed like this for a while.
Getting back home, Aman didn't let Pritey do anything , he always treated her like a queen but this time it's extra.
She insisted that she's fine and that's it's to early for her to just sit but he wouldn't listen.
After dinner which of course he made, both of them sat in the living room watching a movie but Aman's mind was else where.
He was happy about the fact he's becoming a father but losing his job today made him worry and doubt himself.
"Aman, are u still with me ?" She asked smiling.
He tried to mask his worry but failed like always.
"Aman, what's wrong? " She held his hand encouraging him to talk .
"I never expected at least not now...I lost my work today..the manger said the company needs new faces or whatsoever.." he said
"What ..! That's so unfair!, it's their lose not yours honey. " she said smiling.
He sighed "u give me the best gift in my life today but I failed u "
"Don't say that , So what if u lost work at this company, many companies will be happy to have u and u could even start your own business, I will be with u in every step of the way" she said.
He only hugged her to him like his life depends on it and promised he would do everything to keep his family safe and happy.
