Aman's POV
This morning I woke up with a weird feeling, all was going well, my small family around me, but I was just feeling uneasy for some reason.
Lily left for the summer camp, and Pritey drove the teachers crazy calling them every second to check on her if my feelings were right something is going to happen but it better happen to me.
"Aman, is everything OK? " Pritey asked bringing me back to reality.
"Yes sweetheart, everything is fine, why? "
"I don't know, you're just so quiet this morning."
She said in worry
"Don't worry, it's just that I have an important meeting this morning and it will be a big step for the company in case it goes well. "
She smiled resting her hand over mine.
"You got this, u know that Kabir appreciates all your efforts, so don't worry about it. "
"I love you so so much Pritey."
"Love You too. "
Thankfully the meeting went as planned and the staff was happy with the results.
"Aman, you did it mate, thank you for being a part of this company ."
Kabir said gratefully making Aman smile.
"I just did my job Kabir and it's not just Me who worked on this project, thank you everyone for making it work. "
Aman said making every clap.
"You're so modest sir, I suggest we should all celebrate this right. "
Jane said and everyone showed their agreement except Aman of course.
"Come on brother you need to have fun from time to time ."
Kabir insisted so Aman had no choice but to go with it .
A few hours later the staff went to a nearby fancy restaurant to celebrate and as everyone enjoyed the food and drinks Aman went aside to call Pritey but she didn't answer so he left a message for her .
Sweetheart, the meeting went well so the staff insisted on celebrating, I will be back home soon , love you 😍
"Aman, what are you doing here Alone you're the man of the hour. "
Jane said dragging him back to where everyone was sitting.
"There you are Aman, you have to drink with Us " Kabir said.
"But I ..Don't think it's a good idea. "
He said and everyone rolled their eyes
"Come on don't spoil the evening! "
they shouted and he put his hands up in a surrendering gesture.
"Okay Okay! " He said taking a shot
Unfortunately a one shot turned into Many and he started to feel unwell so he excused himself and went towards the restrooms.
He was washing his face when he got startle seeing the reflection in the mirror.
"Jane ..what are you doing here? "
"I just came to check on you, are you alright?" She asked shutting the door.
"Jane, what the hell do you think you're doing? "
He wasn't feeling well and what she's doing wasn't helping either.
He walked towards the door but she blocked his way .
" Jane! Step aside You shouldn't be here in the first place.!"
