Ella went to her desk and sat down so that she could read her voicemails. That was close, she thought to herself. Tyrese didn't usually catch her staring and daydreaming about him. She needed to stay focused. She sat at her desk and did what she always did when she first arrived and that was check her emails. There wasn't much today but some confirmations of meetings for Tyrese and s couple things from the marketing department. After she checked her emails it was time to go into Tyrese's office and take down notes he may have had for the day for her. Since she had been late that day, she was not sure if he still wanted her to do that.
Ella got up with her pin and note pad and went to the door to open it. She poked her head inside.
"Knock knock. It's me again. Did you still want to do our daily review?"
Tyrese was still writing something down but stopped when she walked in.
"Yes absolutely. Come."
Ella nearly bounced her way over to the desk and sat down. When Tyrese looked up again he noticed her hair and looked at it for a moment. Ella cringed a little. She always wondered of she wasn't so good at her job would he question her appearance? Tyrese leaned back in his chair and fired off his list.
"First things first, confirm the order of roses and edibles order to be sent to my mom for hr birthday."
"I did that yesterday, she should receive it today at 2 pm. And the location has changed since she will be with your sister today."
"Perfect, call Gabe and get reminder on what time the bachelor party is tonight. Please remind Maria that my tux id being delivered today. The seamstress will be here to get my measurements and then the car will take her to my home so she can so fix the sizing."
For the next three minutes, Ella jotted down notes and reminders of Tyrese needs and made sure to leave the notebook open on her desk. As she worked, she noticed Kathryn approaching. Kathryn was one of the people she liked the most and hung out with outside of work. She loved Kathryn and the many stories she had to tell about her husband. Ella smiled as she got closer."Good morning, El. You look...the same as you always do when you come in. When are you going to straighten your hair and do something with your wardrobe?"
El was smiling at first, but then it faded and she sighed and looked at her computer. Kathryn sat on her desk.
"I'm trying to help you girl. How do you expect any man to approach you when you like you just got out of bed, Especially Tyrese lance." Kathryn smiled.
Ella bécame nervous hoping no one heard her big mouth friend. "I did just get out of bed this morning. I was late coming in."
"Well that's new. But you looking like this isn't. Girl, you always look like you just got out of bed." Kathryn examined Ella's hair for a moment again and then stood up to walk behind her. "Here let me do this."
Ella felt her grab her hair and instantly became irritated, fighting Kathryn off of her. "Get out of here. You are such a pain."
"Me?! Im tired of seeing you everyday sitting outside this fine, rich man's office looking like a guard dog."
Ella looked at her. "Can we change the subject?"
"Ok. Channing is taking me to a nice restaraunt this weekend."
'He takes you to a nice restaurant every weekend."
"He does, but this is a different one. Its a nice rooftop that overlooks the city. I think its a new one. If we weren't already married, id think he was trying to propose."
"That's sweet. I love that you guys have regular dates. Im going to do that when I get married."
'Require it," Kathryn demanded. "An old person told me the worst thing you can do is stop dating your spouse. And they were right. Our marriage has grown so much."
Ella just stared at Kathryn and listened to her, hoping that one day she would be telling someone else the same.
