Long Chapter!
* Christie POV*
Hannah was standing in shock as she saw this guy, he was staring back. Hannah spoke up, "hi Keaton, I knew someday we would meet up again." He nodded,"well we can be friends." She nods and grabs Normy's arm, wraps his arm around he protectively. I smile, "well after that awkwardness, my name is Christie, this is Shayla, Lucas, and you guys know Hannah." They smiled and the tallest guy started talking,"I'm Wes, that's Drew and Keaton. " We wave and stand there awkwardly, then Shayla smiles,"well lets walk to the beach!" We all nod and start heading for the sandy beach. I could feel the tension in the air between Keaton and Hannah. I knew Lucas felt it to because he was very protective of Hannah.
As we walked to the beach, different thoughts filled my mind. So this is what keaton looked like. Why in the Earth would Hannah break up with him for Normy!!! That makes absolutely no sense. He was so cute, but i can't like him. He is Hannah's Ex....my best friend's ex. I was completely zoned out to hear a voice say, "How long are you guys here for?" I wanted it to be Keaton, but i tuned into reality and noticed it was Drew. I answered him with "probably around 2 months." It was an awkward conversation.
We finally got to the beach, and Shayla ran to the water's edge," it's so pretty!" Hannah and I ran to join her. It was so pretty, I was in shock when I felt someone hit my shoulder. I look up and it was Keaton, I smiled, " you are so lucky to live here!" He laughed,
(Omg his laugh is so cute!)
"I know! I would never want to go anywhere else!" I laughed, then I heard a small whimper. I look over and see Shayla sitting in the sand with her head in her hands. I ran over to her,"what's wrong kiddo?" She shakes her head, and I know to back away. I join the rest of the group who is starting a fire, Hannah gives me a worried look and I shook my head. (We have this thing were we can tell what the other one is thinking!) She nods and sits next to Normy and Drew. I sit next to Keaton in a whisper tone,"what happened between you too?" He frowned,"we dated for awhile, over the summer and we broke up because she missed home and she still liked someone back home, i guess it's that Lucas kid over there that she was talking about."
I laugh, "well don't tell her I said this but you are WAY better then Lucas or Normy as we call him!" He chuckled, "Do you live in Kentucky like her? " I shook my head yes and he smiled.
(God he was to die for! Everything about him was perfect! His laugh, his smile, the way his hair fell over his eye, his personality. He was sweeter than any guy in Kentucky.)
"So how do you like California so far?" He asked me. "It's absolutely beautiful! I would die to live here! I really want to go to USC for college, but I don't know if I will get in." I sighed. He looked at me, with concern, "Stay positive! You never know!"
After that it was silent between us. Not an awkward silent, but just silent.
He continued, "Have you ever been to Cali before?" I look up at him, "Nope, first time, but it's where my family lives, and same with Shay." "really? Why do you live in Kentucky then if you so badly want to live here?"
"umm well I never got along with my parents very much, so i didn't want to live anywhere near them, so i decided to move to Kentucky with Shay and Hannah 3 years ago. Until last year Hannah's family lived with us, but they moved to Chicago."
"Oh." That's all he said. Then he continued, "Well since you've never been here before why don't I show you around tomorrow?" "Sure that would be great!" I finished, and looked for Shay, she was still sitting by herself. I started to stand up but Wes motioned me to sit down, "I will talk to her." He said, then he ran to her side. I looked at Keaton and took in how hot he was! His brown hair and multicolored eyes! I loved them! He caught me staring at him and laughed,"do you like our music?" I almost jumped with excitement, "more like love!!!" He smiled then looked at Drew. Drew pulled out a guitar and they started singing Locked out of Heaven! I almost screamed when I heard them! Keaton took the lead and his voice was like an angel, and Drew was amazing! I wish they could sing forever!
Wes POV
I ran to see Shay crying,"Shayla (I finally learned her name) what's wrong?" She looks at me with her eyes red and puffy,"nothing!" She says trying to hold back the tears. I wrap an arm around her, "it's ok to cry, just tell me what's wrong. I'm here for you!" She took a deep breath, "well I thought this was going to be fun, but I didn't know Hannah and Keaton were a thing. I feel like a jerk for making everything so awkward! Plus I think Keaton has a thing for Christie because he keeps staring at her! That is going to start so much trouble and it's all my fault!" She stops and breaks down more, I stand her up and pull her in for a hug. She buries her head into my neck, I feel so close to her but I have just met her. Seeing her cry makes me want to make everything better just for her, "Shay it's not your fault, it's theirs and if anything happens I will be there for you!" She smiles, "thanks Wes!" We walk back to the camp fire, we sit by each other. I see Drew has his guitar,"what song do you want to hear?" Shay smiles, "well the girls and I all can sing Hey Jude!" The girls smiled, then they stood up. They smiled and pointed to Drew to start playing......
Shay started, Hey jude, don't make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.

Christie: Hey jude, don't be afraid.

Hannah:

The girls bowed and sat down,"that was amazing!!" I say. They smiled then Shayla grinned,"sad thing is that is the only song we can sing!" We laughed, then, Drew looked at his watch,"Dude we have to go its 11!" We stand up and hug goodbye.
Christie POV
When we were hugging goodbye Keaton whispered in my ear, "I'll pick you up at 2, to go on your tour." It sent shivers down my spin. The boys walked off and we headed home. I notice that Shay had a big smile on her face, plus she was wearing Wes hoodie because she got cold, it was really cute! Hannah and Normy were making out by the time we got home. They went to their room to have some fun! ;) Well thats what Shay and i thought. We about threw up at the thought of that!
Shay and I went to the Kitchen and had a quick dinner of PB&J! Then I yawned,"night shay!" I hugged her and went to my room. I changed into my volleyball sweatshirt and my Roncalli sweatpants and climbed into bed.
Was i going on a date with Keaton....no I can't be. How am I going to tell Hannah that Keaton is showing me around Huntington beach. Oh well i will figure it all out tomorrow.
