Cookies and Dancing

You were in the kitchen trying to find something to eat when an idea popped up into your head. You walked out to the living room where your boyfriend was sitting on the couch.

"Hey Bucky." You said as leaned over the back of the couch.

"Yes doll?" Bucky looked over at you.

"Wanna bake some cookies."

" I would love too." Bucky smiled at you and stood up.

You stood up and made your way back into the kitchen Bucky following close behind you. When you got to the kitchen you opened the cupboard and pulled out a jar a peanut butter.

"How does peanut butter cookies sound?" You turned around towards Bucky and held out the peanut butter towards him.

"Perfect." Bucky leaned against the counter.

You set the peanut butter on the counter and opened up another cupboard and grabbed a bowl.

"Do you mind setting the oven to 350?"

Bucky walked over to the oven and pressed a few buttons till the oven turned on. He set the temperature to 350. "What else would you like me to do?"

"Can you grab the sugar and salt please?" You asked Bucky as you were grabbing the eggs from the fridge."

"Sure thing."

You set the eggs down onto the counter. You opened up a drawer and grabbed 2 forks and a spoon out of it. You bent down to the cupboard below the drawer and grabbed a cookie sheet out of it. You stood back up and set the cookie sheet on the counter.
When you got everything you needed you grabbed the peanut butter and used to spoon to scoop it out of the jar.

Bucky leaned on the counter with a smile on his face as he watched what you were doing. Once you got the right amount of peanut butter you grabbed an egg and cracked it before putting the egg into the bowl. You looked over at Bucky before asking "You want to crack the other one?"

Bucky quickly snapped out of his daze. " Oh yeah sure." He walked over to where you were and grabbed an egg from the carton before cracking it and putting it into the bowl. You walked over to the sink to wash your hands.

You walked back over to the counter once you were done washing your hands and you grabbed the sugar and started pouring it in.
You felt arms snake around your waist as Bucky started kissing your neck.

"What are doing buck?" You asked

"Can I not kiss you and appreciate you?" Bucky asked in a playful tone.

"You can but not right now because your gonna distract me." You said as grabbed the salt.

"Am I just that memorizing?" You glanced back at Bucky and looked him up and down.

"Yep."

You grabbed the salt and poured a little bit into your hand.

"Well sorry I'm just so good looking."

You rolled your eyes and used your other hand to pinch a little bit of salt and sprinkle it into the bowl.

"You wanna mix it?" You looked over at Bucky.

"Oh yeah sure." Bucky walked over to the counter and grabbed the spoon and started mixing it.

Once everything was all mixed up you and Bucky started rolling it into balls and putting it on the cookie sheet. You heard the oven beep, you grabbed the cookie sheet, opened up the oven and put it inside the oven.

You turned around towards Bucky and saw that he was smiling at you. You smiled back as you made your way over towards him. You leaned up towards him as you softly pressed your lips against his. His hand went up to cup your face. Your lips moved in sync, you pulled away and sighed, you closed your eyes and looked down for a few seconds before opening your eyes and lifting up your head to look into Bucky's eyes. You immediately got lost in his eyes. " You ok doll?"

"Oh yeah sorry." You said as you stepped back. " I have to set a timer for the cookies." You grabbed your phone and set the timer for 15 minutes. You set your phone down and looked over at Bucky again. "Well we got 15 minutes to spare, what do you wanna do?"

"Music?" Bucky asked

"Sure! Let me go grab the speaker from our bedroom." Bucky watched as you walked by him and towards your bedroom. After about a minute you walked back out holding the speaker. You set it on the counter and grabbed your phone, you scrolled through Spotify till you found the playlist that has music both you and Bucky like.

You heard music start playing through the speakers. You set your phone down on the counter as you started moving to the flow of the music. You looked up at Bucky and he started laughing, your lips curled into a smile as he started trying to copy the moves you where doing.

" Am I doing it right?" He asked. He walked over to you and grabbed your hand as he twirled you around.

" What are you doing." You started laughing even more than you already were.

You and Bucky danced, laughing at each with huge smiles on each of your faces. You heard the timer go off, you put on the oven mitts and grabbed the cookies out of the oven. You set them on the stove and took the oven mitts off. "We just got to let them cool for a little bit and then we can eat them!"

" Can I play a song?" Bucky asked.

"Of course, play anything you want."

You were checking the cookies when your heard its been a long long time start playing through the speakers. You froze as you looked up at Bucky. You gasped as a smile creeped onto your face.

" Shall I have this dance?" Bucky stretched his arm out towards you as you walked over to him.

"Yes, of course." Your smile grew bigger as Bucky put both of his arms on your waist as you draped your arms around his neck. You started swaying to the music.

Kiss me once, then kiss me twice

Then kiss me once again

Its been a long, long time

"I love you so much."

"I love you too." You leaned in and pressed your lips against Bucky's as he kissed back.

Its been a long, long time

You and Bucky danced to music all night long forgetting about the cookies and just enjoying each others presence.
