Chapter Ten

Chapter 10
Jerome's POV
Mitch and I searched everywhere. I can't believe this. Brittany has to be here somewhere.

Mitch called me and I turned around

"Jerome! She's over here."

I ran over and looked at her.

"Why did you leave Liz? She's like having a panic attack right now!"

"Great what do I care" she rolled her eyes and sipped her coffee

"What do you care? She's your best friend, you should be up there with her helping her out!" I yelled. I was starting to get people's attention so I quieted down.
"You should care about your friend. If you don't we don't care about you either." I waved goodbye and walked away. I needed to see Liz again. I walked up the stairs and headed towards her room

Liz's POV
Why did she do that and where is Jerome. I need some help. hopefully he comes back with her.

"Liz your not Brittany's friend any more" Jerome said.

"Wha- why? This isn't even that big of a deal?"

"She's acting like she doesn't care about you." He walked over and gave me a hug. I put my arms around him and relaxed. We stood there without saying a word to each other for what seemed like a century.

"Thank you." I whispered

"Will she come back?" He replied

"Definitely." I said softly. We let go of each other and Mitch slowly walked out of the room.

"Can I stay?"

"Sure Jerome, but don't think of doing anything sneaky!"

"Oy! Fish fish fish!" He yelled and jumped onto my bed.

"Hey who said you were sleeping here?" I giggled

"I did now go to sleep." he laughed back.

"Fine then!" I flicked off the light and pulled up the cover. Jerome wrapped his arms around me. A soothing warmth that sent me to sleep in a matter of seconds.

I woke up and Jerome was gone. I don't know why he left but it doesn't matter. My phone was almost dead and it had 7 missed calls form Brittany. I didn't want to but she was my best friend and I had to call back.

"Liz?"

"Yea."

"I'm sorry. I'm a big butt and I deserve to be hated."

"I forgive you."

"What?"

"I forgive you."

"Thanks. wanna go get lunch? My treat."

"You know I do!"

"Ok meet me at Pizza Hut."

"YAY."

I hung up the phone and got dressed. I didn't wear anything too special because I didn't feel like picking out clothes so I just threw some stuff on. I ran done the stairs, through the lobby and out the door. I walked to the Pizza Hut which was about a block away. I saw Brittany there, waiting for me. I ran across the street and got hit by a car(Just kiddingXD). I ran over to her and hugged her. We let go and walked into Pizza Hut. All is now well.
