Chapter Seven

Chapter 7

Wow Jerome... You really just did that. You made her run away. You'll never get a girlfriend. All of these thoughts rushed through my mind as I watched her run away from me. I began to cry as I slowly walked to the car. I got in and drove back to the hotel. I used the stairs to clean myself up before Mitch saw me. Once I got to our floor I wiped my eyes and took a deep breath. I stepped out into the long and slim hallway and walked to my room. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a happy Mitch.

"Hey man!"

"Hey.."

"You ok Jerome you look like you just cried your eyes out."

"Yeah I'm fine. I just gotta rest."

I walked into my room and sat on my bed. I tried to hold back my tears, but I was just to hurt, I began to cry as Mitch repetitively knocked on the door. Why did she run away? Am I that terrible of a person?

"MITCH GO AWAY! I NEED TO BE ALONE!!"

"Jerome I can help!"

"NO YOU CANT MITCH NO ONE CAN HELP."

I heard the door to the hallway open and Mitch running down the hall. When he came back there was a new person at the door. Liz.

"Jerome please! I want to talk to you!"

This is where my good and bad sides came out. I had to make a hard decision. Let her in and let her explain or leave her out and keep crying. I decided to let her in because Mitch started to sound really worried. I didn't let Mitch in though, because I wanted to talk to her privately. Now I have to face my fears and talk to her. When she stepped in I was surprised at what she said.

"Look Liz I know you hate me and that's all there is to it"

"Jerome I don't hate you, I really like you. I was just afraid I would be lost and broken like my last relationship. I don't want to end up all alone again."

"Why would I do that to you? Whatever jerk broke your heart must have been out of his mind, because I have never met anyone quite like you."

"Thanks Jerome."

"Now, you have some time but remember that boyfriend offer is still on the table!" Jerome said to me with a smile.

I laughed and playfully punched his arm.

"Ok I'll think about it" I said while laughing.

I walked out of his hotel room and remembered I haven't even seen Brittany yet. I should drop by her room and see what she's up to.
