Your P.O.V

I was walking my sweet, cute puppy down the street. It was getting sort of late right now. I shiver when a trail of cold wind brushes against my skin. I pick up my puppy and carry him close to my chest instead, hoping he/she isn't cold too. My phone vibrates slightly. I grabbed the F/C phone out of my pocket. It was a text from Kaneki.

Kaneki: Where are you? It's getting late.

I don't answer to the text and place it back it my pocket. I continued walking until I caught someone watching me. I paused and turned my head to look around. I saw a bright pair of strange ghoulish eyes looking at me. I never seen a ghoul pretty close up before. The ghoul was hiding in a bush. The pair of eyes disappears into the dark. I knew the ghoul could be closer to me by second. I speed walked away hoping I lost track of the ghoul. I've seen many news about these strange human-like creatures. I didn't wish to be in danger, at least not right now. I slowed down, panting when I see a small building on the side with a little light glistening in it. I realized it was Anteiku, so I hurried quickly into the building, pushing the cold doors wide open. (Pet Name) started whimpering. I just got (her/him) today, he/she's probably not used to this place yet. I walk uptairs to see Kaneki leaning on the wall at the end of the staircase. "(Y/N), where were you?" a hint of worry in his eyes as he said that. "I went to walk my new puppy, do you like it? (her/his) name is (Pet Name)!" Kaneki didn't respond but just placed his hand on the dog's head, scratching it behind the soft ears of (his/hers). The pup growled slightly. I have no idea what was wrong with the poor pup. I make up an excuse because the growling was making me confused, and worried. "A-ah well I'm tired." I said as I pushed the pup away from his hands. I walk to my room and grabbed my key out. I opened the door seeing my neatly folded bedsheets waiting for me to sleep on. I close the door behind me and lock it shut. I grab some blankets out of the closet and lay it on the side, I put some pillows and worn out toys on it. Then I unhook the leash from (Pet Name's) collar, placing him on the soft bed. (He/she) whimpers trying to tell me something I do not understand. I guess (he/she) might not be used to this place yet. But (he/she) will be. I step in the bathroom and brush my (H/C) hair. I use my favorite facial cleanser to wash my face. I continue on with my basic nightly routine.

Before I go to bed, I turn on my (F/C) TV and watch the news. When it gets uninteresting I usually watch my favorite TV show or movie. But the news showed the horrible things ghouls did. Sometimes, I believe that they aren't even evil. They're just doing what they need to do to live right? We could just make friends with the ghouls, learn more about them. Probably even discover something they can eat instead of humans. The TV shuts off by itself. I sigh, and whisper "Stupid TV." I stumbled to my bed and lay out my covers on the pure white mattress and hop under the covers. I turn off my (F/C) lamp and start to drift off to sleep.

* 1 Hour later of sleeping *

I hear loud barking and growling. I awaken from my peaceful sleep groaning and rubbing my eyes to see what was going on. I see (Pet Name) scratching at the door and leaving tiny claw marks on it. I walk up to (Pet Name) and pick (her/him) up. I lay (her/him) back on the cozy bed I made. I decided I need to ask questions from the pet store tomorrow.

I woke up in the morning to go back to the pet store. I went to the front desk and waited for one of the workers to come. A man came out from a customer forbidden room. and walked behind the desk in front of me. "How May I help you ma'am?"

"Uh, I have a question."

"Yes?"

"Why does my puppy, I got here yesterday, keeps barking, growling, or whimpering when I arrived at home?"

He grabs a notebook filled with notes.

"He probably isn't used to the new home, or needs to be checked by a veterinarian."

"Thanks, that helps a lot." I smile

As I turned around to leave he scared me suddenly by saying "Wait!" I turned and lifted one eyebrow.

"It is common that dogs may do that when a ghoul is near in Tokyo."

"O-oh, okay thanks bye."

Ghouls? I don't think so. I need to check with a veterinarian probably.
I go back to Anteiku to take (Pet Name) to the vet. The vet was only a couple steps away so I hooked the cotton-made (F/C) leash on (his/her) collar. We walked the whole way to the vet. Once I got there I had to wait 10 minutes to get my pup a proper checkup. After 10 minutes I walk into a small room with two chairs on the side and a cold metal table in the middle. My dog was placed on the cold table while the vet checked for anything wrong. "There isn't anything wrong with (Pet Name), (He/She's) very healthy and strong!"

I sigh happily, "Thank you for taking a look at (Her/him)"

"You're welcome!"

I picked (Pet Name) up and thought, if he/she's fine then what's really going on?

I arrive at Anteiku again to see Kaneki dressed up in a basketball attire. "(Y/N), want to play basketball with me and Hide?" he asks sitting right next to Hide. "Sure, let me get ready first." I put my pup in my room and asked Touka if she can watch him/her constantly. She looked at the pup slightly shocked, but nodded. I dressed up in a pretty sporty attire and went to play basketball with Hide and Kaneki. I scored a lot of times, I didn't know how good I am at this.
Kaneki kept watching me in a awkward way, though. I think he likes me. I mean, sometimes it's obvious that he does.

Hope you liked it! I might add more Kaneki and You in the next chapter. I know this chapter is mostly about your new pup. But this chapter takes a role on the future chapters I Will make. ✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔
