Shoshanna really hoped it was a universal older sister experience to loathe your sister, she really hopes so since right now she wants to strangle Hyacinth with her bare hands and watch her eyes go glassy.

She raced through the house, it was too hot for this foolishness, this summer before her 5th year seems to be the biblical heat death of the universe, she watches her neighbours pull out old fans to try to not get slow-cooked alive in their homes, fans they never used before since they never expect such tropical weather in the land of the queen and bad tea. The two girls currently have sweat falling off in waves from their bodies.

Like wet dogs, water flashed onto the hardwood as they ran about.

Their mother placed cooling runes by the windows so cool air comes in, though still the sun is a star emitting heat, and those runes are wearing off, their mother was out getting groceries and in the meantime, her eldest was chasing her junior with the intent of a homicide. Hyacinth almost knocked over one trying to escape her murderous sister. "Sorry, OK!" she shouted, still running from her sister. Shoshanna didn't hear her, from how squeaky her voice or she was too deafened by anger to care, she could pray to the saints and if they don't come down to restrain the potter heir, Hyacinth might as well not pray.

Hyacinth wouldn't last long, Shoshanna had long legs and was an athlete, and the younger girl was everything but long-legged and athletic. So by the bookcase in the living room, Shoshanna grabbed a fistful of her sister's long red hair and yanked hard, she was sure that they heard breakage, and the girl hissed like a snake. "You're lucky I am too young to use my wand, you would be my little pencil right about now." Hyacinth tried to pull away, but her nails dug into her sister's knuckles causing her to let go. "Do you know how much it was for that broom, more than your sperm donor makes in two months," she continued.

Hyacinth now tried to wriggle from the hold and exclaimed, "Don't speak about my father like that!"

Shoshanna gripped tighter, "I call him whatever I want" then viciously continued "Look what you caused, not even like I can sell your ugly ass, who would buy you; horse face!" then suddenly shoved her away, causing her to stumble. Hyacinth breathed heavily, "Take that back!" she shouted, charging at Shoshanna. The girl pushed her, staring her down, "No,"

Hyacinth tries again, just to get slapped upside the head, "You evil bitch!" the little girl rasped, causing her sister to smile, Shoshanna bit back "Does your daddy know that word from your mouth?"

That must have hurt because she cradled her head with teary eyes.

Though Hyacinth picked up a book from the shelf throwing it at her sister, Shoshanna ducked causing it to hit the living room table the two girls flinch wondering if it broke the glass on the table, "It should have hit me," Shoshanna stated, cooly, it was a treat, if it did, they would have to find the girls pieces in the river.

"It should have," Hyacinth replied rubbing her head, trying to alleviate the pain, the two girls stood facing off eyes narrowed at each other. The two of them breathe heavily watching the other to see if they make do on their promise, suddenly the door opens.

Lily Evans-Snape, walks in toat in hand, the woman steps in and quickly realizes something is wrong, she looks at her daughters, both standing breathing heavily as the younger has red eyes teary. This scene was too common for her, and it has long lost its novelty a decade ago, the woman wonders if she has gone mad. The redhead closed her eyes, rubbing them with her fingers, as she sets the bag down. "I was gone for 30 minutes," she mussed.

"33, actually," Hyacinth stated, still rubbing her head.

Lily raised a brow, "Still, it is not even 45 minutes, the two of you are too old to be fighting like children,"

The two girls looked to their mother, and then the woman continued "Shoshanna, this year you are doing your OWLs don't you have something better to do than squabble with a girl going year 3?"

Shoshanna raised a brow, "So why is this 13-year-old, brave enough to fight me," The girl gave both of them pointed looks, as if she was looking for the answer from either.

Lily sighed, "The two of you apologise," something in Shoshanna's chest keel over and rotted as she said, "Then what, my broom is broken and I need it for quidditch, the Nimbus 2000 is very expensive, I saved for almost a year and a half for it, "

Hyacinth whined "But it was an accident,"
