Mitchell had fallen asleep in the car again.
His parents had decided that he would be attending a nearby summer camp as they knew they couldn't stay home with him. They'd be working all summer long at their jobs, and either way, it was a win-win situation. Mitchell would socialize with other people his age and they didn't have to worry about him. Not at all.
When the car had finally arrived at the destination, a boy of about 17 years in age greeted Mitchell's parents. His mom woke him up and they got his bags out of the car. Mitchell never liked the idea of coming to summer camp, as he liked staying at home. He sighed and waved goodbye to his parents right before they left. They were already late to work.
"There's no need to worry," The boy said, "We'll make sure you have a great time here. It's our promise!"
Mitchell sighed, "I just have a feeling that everything will go wrong. Because of something I'll cause."
The boy extended his hand out, "I'm Travis Rias. Counselor at Cabin Six, the Snake Cabin."
Mitchell shook his hand. "I'm Mitchell. Mitchell Madden."
Travis smiled, "Nice to meet you, Mitchell."

When they finally arrived to the real "campsite", it was already time for the first-years to get placed into a cabin. Travis sighed, as he did most of the placement work. The other counselors had told him: "Just tell us who and how many." Not to mention Riya, the actual person in charge of placement, had been injured and would only make it today because of the ceremony.
There was no real camp director, but it seemed that Travis had assumed all the responsibilities of camp director and all of the camp counselors.
Mitchell and a few others sat at the front, as they were all of the first-years that would be placed in the next few minutes. The rest of the second-years and seasonals sat with their assigned cabins with their cabin shirts and name tags. The first on the list was Azalea Luiane, who was placed in Cabin Two, the Deer Cabin. Cabin Two cheered as she got her shirt and nametag and walked back to sit with them now.
About 15 more people were left, and Mitchell watched as each one of them received their shirt and nametag. The last one on the list was Mitchell. He walked up to the ten counselors, Travis standing to the right of the girl presenting, Riya, as he was in charge of Cabin Six.
Riya smiled. "Welcome, Mitchell, to our camp."
"Hi," Mitchell waved.
Riya looked at the paper in front of her. "Mitchell Madden, you have been placed in... Cabin Six. Travis will be your counselor."
Mitchell looked at Travis who called him over to get his stuff. He walked over, grabbed his cabin stuff and went to sit down by the rest of the people in Cabin Six. Mitchell looks at the guy next to him, reading his nametag. Alex Solas. He had blonde hair and golden eyes, or well, Mitchell assumed, because he wore a bandage over his left eye. He looked back at the nametag and realized they were the same age. Mitchell made a silent note to himself to remember so he could maybe make some friends at camp. With Mitchell's placement having concluded, so did the ceremony. Travis announced it was time for the campfire, and everyone made their way over.
Obviously, Mitchell sat next to Travis and Alex, being the only two people he "knew". A girl came running over and sat on the other side next to Travis. Mitchell tried to read her nametag on the way and only caught on her name. But that was enough to know she was Travis' sister. Eva Rias. She started the line for Cabin Two, as everyone followed her. Azalea had also followed, a girl with ocean blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair. The girl that was first called up, had been lined up alongside, with this jumpy stance, ready to run away from anything if something went wrong. Mitchell made another silent note to talk to her later.
