...

Killer woke up from...yet another dream. He groaned as he stood up from his bed and looked at the light which was shining through the curtains.

That dream... he's heard those phrases so many times he's not sure if it's actually real anymore. I mean, it's not often that the Guardian of positivity  makes a promise to only you.  It's also not often that The God of negativity  calls you special and wants to keep you by their side, but that's less than ideal.

You see, Nightmare lowkey sucks. Scratch that- he high-key sucks. He yells at him and drags him to dangerous missions. It feels like he's doing all the work, not Nightmare.

"COME DOWNSTAIRS THIS INSTANT."

Speaking of, Nightmare is yelling at Killer- again, through some sort of telepathy magic. It's not like he wouldn't hear him if he only spoke:

'Good morning my hard-working teammates! I hope you all slept well! I'm sorry if I annoy any of you- but could you all please come downstairs. I have something important to say. You don't have to come if you don't want to<3'

Killer silently cringed at the possibility of Nightmare ever acting in that way.

"WHY HAVEN'T YOU COME YET"

Learn some manners, you weird goopy octopus. Killer is not in the mood today. Although he should probably save his attitude at a time when he doesn't have Nightmare breathing by his neck and knowing all of his emotions.

He quickly got dressed and rushed downstairs to the meeting room. He was met with Nightmare's everlasting scowl as he entered the room. He was the last one to arrive.

Nightmare stood at the end of the meeting table, loads of maps and other unimportant papers were scattered around his side of the table and on the wall behind him. He honestly looked like a conspiracy theorist.

Horror and Dust were sitting on the left side of the table, Dust being closer to Nightmare, mostly because he was known to be more obedient and only spoke things that mostly did not annoy Nightmare.

On the other side of the table sat Cross, the newest recruit. The empty chair closest to Nightmare belonged to Killer, of course.

Killer was obviously Nightmare's favourite, mostly because he was the most successful during missions and always helped Nightmare during battles, although they barely spoke inside of Nightmare's headquarters.

Cross on the other hand, was not liked by Nightmare. Cross has higher stats than Killer, yet he does the worst on missions. His story is kinda sad honestly. He made a deal with Nightmare to escape his au, but when he officially joined the Bad Sanses he immediately regreted it. This has happened to every one of Nightmare's recruits. But Cross, unlike others, was hopeful that he would escape soon. He kept this mentality until one day, a few months later, his demeanour changed. It's like he woke up and chose to be depressed. Killer still wonders why Cross changed his mind.

"Killer, sit down." Nightmare oh so kindly asked, or at least Killer wished he would.

Nightmare most likely sensed Killer's annoyance as he infuriatingly looked at him. Killer then sat down without discussing further.

"I have recently learned of Dream's whereabouts." Nightmare began speaking as he showed a map of what seemed to   be a forest, "A village is located in the centre of the forest. That's where Dream usually resides."

Killer's breath hitched at the mention of Dream.

"This village is guarded against teleportation, so we will have tk walk through the forest to get to the village and confront Dream."

"And how do we do that?" Dust innocently asked. It was obvious that he was trying to get on Nightmare's nerves.

"I was just about to say that. This forest is magical, and really thick. The map wont help us inside of the forest, but if we keep walking straight along we'll be fine. Staying in the forest  can also give you hallucinations and flashbacks, so be aware. You can easily just fight the magic from your mind and keep calm. If you do start seeing things, they're not real. Do not try to get away from the group, you will get lost. You can't cut the trees either, so don't try that."

"And what will we do once we enter the village?" Dust innocently asked again.

"Shut up. We will locate Dream's lair, try to get any information on plans and missions, confront Dream so he can have a major setback."

After Nightmare finished speaking he was met with silence.

"That's a very thought-out plan" Killer said as he tried to make it seem as genuine as possible. Nightmare did not say thank you back because he is the biggest piece of crap on the multiverse.

"Tomorrow morning we will all enter the forest. Prepare until then."

Everyone started leaving the room one by one. Cross looked shaken up from the possibility that he will relive his past through hallucinations and flashbacks. He's not that special, everyone here has trauma. Except sir Nightmare, he was born evil, is evil, and will be evil until he hopefully dies. Soon.

Since Killer won't have this much free time ever again he decided to fall asleep for the rest of the day. It is kinda trashy, but he's a Sans after all. They're all lazy to their core, except Nightmare, he's not a Sans, he's a demon. Killer had only slept about an hour before this, so it's fine.

He layed back on his bed as he tried to fall back asleep. In all honestly, he also wanted to experience that same dream again. Dream's promise sounds like a lullaby, making Killer calm down and be at peace. That's what he felt when Dream said it one fateful day, and it fills him with hope that he will escape.

With that thought in mind, he fell asleep, definetly not dreading what was about to come tomorrow.
