chapter I: the eligians

*AKIARA*

"Name?" queried the woman with short hair and golden spectacles.

"Akiara Hinode." I answered.

"From Kyushu?" She asked once again.

"From Kyushu." I repeated.

"Head to the Eligian Office located at the South East side of the camp."

"Thank you, Ma'am."

Camp Mahou is an absolute behemoth! It's so vast that even a map is essential for navigation. According to the map, the North side of the camp is off-limits due to the presence of dangerous wild animals in the Vahari Forest. On the West side, you'll find the amphitheater and arena, perfect for leisure or physical activities! The South side is the hub of the camp, with the auditorium in the main area, classrooms in the southwest, and cozy cabins in the southeast. In the middle, there's a field and ranges for various activities. Lastly, the serene east side is home to the peaceful central courtyard and greenhouse. Oh, and let's not forget the mall in the north that we have here! It's truly a mammoth place to explore!

But we shouldn't forget our real agenda here, hmm?

I finally arrived at the Eligian Office. The first thing I spotted was the girl with the bright red hair. She looked at my direction and so as the other people inside the room- they were five in total.

I sat in the chair beside the boy with the white hair who's aura is oddly familiar. But yeah, he seems like a ball of sunshine to based on his glistening aura. But one particular person suddenly caught my attention. The guy with the medium length messy mirkwood green hair and captivating emerald orbs. His aura screams power, dominance, and also agreat sense of familiarity? Gosh, just who are these people?

All eyes on the door when it opened and revealed a woman with jet black hair and black almond eyes. It seems like she holds one of the highest positions in the camp. Well, maybe she is the headmistress because of the way she dress: mint green satin blouse, white pencil skirt and a black specs paired with the classic jadeite necklace.

The people in the room stood up and greeted the lady with utmost respect so I just did the same, cluelessly.

"Greetings to everyone. As you all know I am Mrs. Shoko Jirou, the headmistress of Camp Mahou." I' "Now, you are all here for a specific purpose. But before that I want you all to introduce yourself so you could familiarize with each other. We'll keep it short though. Just state your name, rank, class, age, and the family where you came from. Let's start with you." She said and pointed at the girl with the red hair.

"I'm Rizuna Ryuji, a Prime Assassin, eight and ten years old from the clan of Ryuji Assasins." She plainly said and sat in her seat again.

It is not surprising that she has reached the impressive age of one hundred and eight, considering that Venoir experiences a unique cycle of time divided into only six months. These months are known as Emberleaf, representing the season of spring and new beginnings; Solisar, referred to as the Symphony of Light; Asterhail, a month dedicated to the moon's mesmerizing dance; Dawnfjall, which signifies the fall season and holds significance for spellcasters; Verdantmors, a sacred period associated with transcendence; and finally Solsticecrest, also known as the Embrace of Klaioppe.

An interesting tidbit about us is that as the arrival of each months our age gradually comes up too everytime it hits our respective birthdays. Though what's more unique in our way of celebrating is that we only commemorate the specific day of our birth every four years. And that explains why we already hit our hundreds!

After Rizuna's introduction the girl next to her stood up, "Goodmorning everyone, I am Kiyoko Kaiya, a Spellcaster Prime, and eight and ten years old from the greatest coven in Venoir, the Stalzire Coven." So she's a spellcaster, huh?

"Haruki Airi, a Prime Specialist, seven and ten years old, from the lineage of Airi Specialists, at your service." He happily said and even motioned a 'salute' when he said his last line.

"I am Izumi Jirou, eight and ten years old, a Royal Prime from the great bloodline of Jirou Royals." Oh... so he and the headmistress are relatives. They look like siblings though.

"Akaashi Zarate, a Prime Zenith, eight and ten years old from the house of Kurodes." A zenith, huh? Seems like he's powerful enough to challenge all the other students here into a fight but still win against all of them. And he's also handsome as hell to the point I won't even deny it.

It's already my time to introduce myself so I stood up and confidently said, "Good day to all of you, I am Akiara Hinode, eight and ten years old and a Mystic Zenith from the house of Yu Shian."

*AKAASHI*

"Good day to all of you, I am Akiara Hinode, eight and ten years old and a Mystic Zenith from the house of Yu Shian." She's confident I can say that. She's also from the great house of Yu Shian?! That house is where one of the great Lords of the Verdantmors era resides. And just by looking at her I know for sure she has that potential which is the main reason why she's here because this is only the second time a student from a Mystic class became part of the Eligian Camp Government.

"Alright, since we're done with the introductions I'm here to announce all of you that you are to be the Eligians of this decade. But," she really pointed out that 'but' "one wrong move leads to the greatest consequences which is... expulsion. As you all know the main reason of Eligian Camp Government is for the top six students of the entrance examination to take the lead until their last year as student mages. Your main job is to accept missions, build a guild, be a role model, implement platforms and lastly, maintain the prestige of Camp Mahou. So, any questions students before we proceed to announce your positions?" I looked around and saw no one raising their hand but Kiyoko looks like she's bothered about something.

"Okay, we'll proceed to the announcement of positions. For the position of Liaison Officers we have Haruki Airi and Kiyoko Kaiya. Haruki you are also assigned as the Archdruid of the Greenhouse while Kiyoko is assigned as the Guardian Chanter of the Illinois Sanctum." Ms. Shoko said and gave them both a key to access their respective buildings.

"For the position of Ledgerkeeper, Izumi Jirou. Izumi you are also responsible for being the master strategist alongside Rizuna. Here is your key to the Ledger room."

"Rizuna you are assigned as the Warden of the Arsenal so make sure to keep that in mind and don't forget that you are also the Chief Advisor of the Mahou Shieldflares and here is your key to the armory."

"Lastly, the position of Vice President goes to Akiara Hinode and the position of President goes to Akaashi Zarate. Akiara you are responsible in making platforms and implementing it alongside the president. You are also our in-training Master Artificer so your quarter room is located in the East."

"Akaashi, on the other hand, you know your roles as a president. You are also our Intern Archivist. Alright students since we're done announcing your positions," She waved her hand in the air. "That thing in front of you is your Eligian badge. Make sure to wear it at all times. Any questions?" She asked and Akiara raised her hand.

"Is it okay if we assign one student to be our Personal Aide?" Well, that's actually a good idea. Just by hearing all of our assigned positions is already making my head hurt. "Not students, but pixies. Pixies will serve as your personal aide. We don't have the power to assign pixies so you'll meet them tonight. Any more questions? No more? Okay then. I'll take my leave. Don't forget that the oathtaking ceremony takes place tomorrow morning. Make sure to be one time. Best of luck, Eligians." She said and left the room.

This is going to be hella fun year.
