chapter II: cabin mate

The meeting with the Eligians ended, and we all headed back to our cabins. Since it was just a short walk away, I reached my designated Cabin 004 in no time. Finally, I stood before it! The Cabin Keeper had informed us that each of us would have at least one cabin mate.

The door was adorned with arcane carvings and runes etched at every end, causing it to illuminate with a soft glow. As a descendant of artisans, I could tell that the wood used for this door must have been precious and expensive, given the visible marks of woven vines. The door's color was black, indicating that this cabin belonged to both mystic zeniths. It also had a circular keyhole.

On the other hand, the key was called the 'Emblem of Yllis,' named after the legendary artisan of the Merion era. Its foundation was made from the Opheliete droplet, one of the most powerful and expensive gems in the world. And also, golden spiral vines surrounded it, giving it a radiant golden glow. Mahou realm is prosperous indeed.

As I inserted the key and stepped inside, a welcoming ambiance enveloped me, enchanting my senses. The mesmerizing architecture of the cabin unfolded before my eyes. Its walls shimmered with the ethereal hue of moonlight silver, intricately adorned with golden sunbeam etchings. A feeling of tranquility and wonder washed over me.

The cabin boasted a cozy living space, inviting me to relax and unwind. Nearby, a charming kitchenette awaited, promising delightful culinary experiences filled with magical flavors.

As I explored the cabin further, I noticed the chambers were left plain, perhaps to let us to infuse our own creativity into the space. It was an opportunity to transform our personal quarters into a reflection of our individual desires.

Yet, the heart of the cabin, my most cherished place, was the library room. There, a magical hearth crackled with enchantment, casting a warm glow upon the walls adorned with ancient tomes and mystical scrolls. The sheer depth of knowledge and untold tales filled the air, making it feel like a dream come true especially from someone like me!

As I exited the library, the sound of the door opening caught my attention. I turned to see a petite girl with long braided hair, dyed in a soft shade of pink, and her eyes had a mesmerizing hue reminiscent of baby pink orbs. Her eyes widened when she felt my presence and immediately set her luggages down.

"H-hello" She bashfully said. I went towards her and introduced myself. "I-I'm Aishia Kyosuke. A Mystic Zenith from the house of Zeretiase. But you can call me by my given name." She introduced and extended her hand for a handshake that I obligingly shaked.

I glanced in the wall where the clock hangs and I didn't realized that it's getting late already and I haven't eaten lunch. "Have you eaten?" I asked and she shaked her head. "Let's go to the cafeteria. Come on!" I grab her hand and went outside.

There's a portal in the middle side of the cabin section so we just went there and step on the portal tile and just that we already arrived in the cafeteria which is full of students. Aishia and I just stood in the line to wait for our turn.

After that, we went to find a place to seat but unfortunately there's no longer a free table for us. 'Let's just eat outside." I said and she hummed in response. We turned our backs but we were taken aback by someone shouting my name.

"Akiara! You can sit with us!" It was Haruki. He was waving his hand in the air while the other Eligians were looking at us with the eyes of invitation.

"Let's sit with them. Let's go!" I was about to walk towards their table but instead I was stopped by a pulling of the hem of my shirt. Aishia was pulling my hem while looking down. "I-I don't know them. And they may not like me eating with them." She said unable to look me straight in the eyes.

"Oh no, it's fine. I just met them today too." I said and smiled genuinely at her to relieve her worries. She just nodded and followed through the table where the other Eligians sits.

"Everyone this is Aishia-chan. Aishia that is Airi-kun," Haruki playfully waved his hand. "That is Ryuji-chan," Rizuna just nodded and continued eating. "Kaiya-chan Jirou-kun, and Zarate-kun." Kiyoko and Izumi just smiled and waved their hands at Aishia while Akaashi didn't even bother to wave or greet her. Ugh, what an ass.

"Do you have clothes to wear for later?" Kiyoko suddenly asked. "For what?" Rizuna and I said at the same time. "Huh? You didn't know? The welcoming party happens tonight!" She sassily stated.

Oh for heaven's sake! I don't have anything with me. And it totally slipped of my mind! What a foolish you are, Akiara!

"Kaiya-chan" I called. "Hmm?" She replied. "What's the theme of the party?" I asked. "Uhm... I think it's nature themed. And also I'm going to the modiste who wants to come?" I didn't want to use up all my savings so I'll just probably make my own dress. I still have plenty of time to do so. "Guess I'll have to bail. I still have lots of unpacking to do." I lied.

We finished eating and we parted ways. Aishia went with Rizuna and Kiyoko to do the modiste since the three of them didn't have an outfit to wear later.

I've begun sketching my outfit, and I've settled on using lilac and apple green as the dress colors. As for the mask, I'm aiming for a faery-like appearance with a touch of mystery. As for the shoes, I haven't given them any thought yet.

Guess this whole thing will take a lil longer than expected!
