CW: Panic attack/Mental Breakdown

Kel woke up to the sound of snow tapping the window and chirping birds.

Sunlight swam inside of his room, the newly-added drapes over the window having been opened a long time ago. His hair was glued to his face (yay bed hair!), and his entire body was fuzzy and numb, as it always was every morning. He blinked, scrunching his eyes to try and wake himself up a bit more. Despite knowing that he probably had gotten some good sleep, his brain was still a bit dizzy with unnecessary melatonin.

With a groan, he pushed himself up, forcing his muscles to move out of their very comfortable laying positions. A hair strand got inside his mouth, making Kel grimace. Ew! He smacked his lips against each other, and moved his hair out with one of his hands.

"Ugh.." he massaged his face, pressing his fingers against his eyes. Kel yawned, now stretching his arms out. As he tilted his head and spine side to side, soft pops and cracks could be heard as he released contained pressure. Ah.. much better!

Kel hopped off his 'bed', not bothering to make it. To his right, Hero's mattress was completely tidy and organized, with his blankets and sheets all folded up and stacked. To his left, a sleeping Sunny continued to peacefully hug his pillow, his mouth slightly open. Kel's gut dropped slightly upon seeing his friend, memories of last night slowly returning to his brain.

He didn't know why he was getting so worked up over a simple dream. Maybe it was because he mentioned Mari in it? Or the 'truth'? And that weird thingy.. what was it called- darker bell?- Deeper well? Yeah. Deeper well! He had no idea what that was, probably just some dream stuff.

It sounded kind of interesting. He'll ask Sunny about it later!

And he will also contemplate about this entire situation another time. Right now, there was one other thing his mind was thinking about: food.
The aroma of fried eggs had started to reach their room. Kel grinned, his stomach already growling at the mere scent. Mmmm, Hero's cooking. There will never be a day that he wont crave it.

Deciding to let Sunny sleep a bit more (poor thing had a rough night), he swiftly made his way out of the room, down the stairs, and headed towards the kitchen. His mind was still clouded with sleep, but at least now he didn't have to fight to keep his eyes open. Well, he didn't have to fight it too much, at least.

"Mmm.. morning-" a yawn escaped him. Kel massaged one of his eyes again, it was a bit itchy. Hero was by the stove, holding a frying pan and a spatula. His big brother looked up upon hearing his voice, and turned to face Kel with a bright smile. Kel leaned on the wall. "What time is it?.."

Hero chuckled at the question. "11AM, I let you sleep in a bit."

Kel nodded, stifling back another senseless yawn. He figured that might be the case, they had gone to sleep so late, and yet he felt just fine when he woke up. Looking over his brother's shoulder, he found that the wonderful smell was coming from an expertly cooked omelette. His mouth couldn't help but water at the sight.

He grumbled, still too tired to find his voice. "Thanks, bro." He sat down by the counter, feeling a twinge of gratitude towards his parents for buying some chairs. Speaking of his parents.. "Where's mum and dad?"

"Went to get groceries. But you know how they are, they'll probably be back only at around evening time. They get distracted so easily.." Hero shook his head fondly, continuing to cook. He then took out a plate, slipping one finished omelette on top of it. He grabbed some more eggs from the fridge, getting ready to repeat the process.
