Chapter4

Nina's heart pounded with anger and confusion when she saw Logan. Her mind was a swirling vortex of emotions, and the events of the night replayed in her mind like a nightmare.
Why did he bite me she thought in her mind,
"I can explain"
He said as he moved towards her, but she moved a step backward.
So he just stood still
"I just made my mark on you, I will never hurt you"
he said to me.
"What the hell!!! can you hear my thoughts now?"
She asked in confusion. And he just nodded with a yes.
"How?"She asked.
"It's the mate bond"
He responded.
This even made her angrier.
He dared to claim that they mated as if it were some twisted romantic gesture. The mere thought of it sent a surge of fury coursing through her veins.
He started walking closer to her and this time she saw herself being moved by his presence.
Nina was trying her best to stay angry.
He stopped when he got close to her as he cupped her face with both hands.
Logan stared deeply into her eyes as he caressed her cheeks.
His lips started moving closer to her lips and he kissed her desperately.
They bought felt the electric shock as they started moving faster.
His lip slipped down from her lips and stopped at the very point he bit her.
And suddenly she pushed him away.
"I can't do this"
She said angrily and walked away.
He understood her, she needed time to process everything that had happened and to come to terms with the new reality thrust upon her. So he didn't border on going after her.
Nina, not knowing where she was, managed to get out.
She was shocked because she realized she was in a mansion.
A car was already waiting for her at the entrance when she got out.
She didn't talk much knowing that Logan would have instructed them to take her home.

Logan had allowed her to leave, sensing her need for space. But he had made it clear that his guards would keep a watchful eye on her, without her knowing.
Unknown to Logan the werewolf hunters never left town, they were just laying low waiting for the right moment to strike.

On the other side of town, a group of werewolf hunters could be seen discussing how to take down the Alpha of the werewolf pack.
"We don't have a lead yet, we can't just attack like that, it's risky,"
a female voice said
"We don't know what the alpha looks like, you only told us his late father killed your father"
Micheal responded. This was nothing but revenge for her.
"Don't worry leave that to me, just tell the hunters to get their weapons ready because the battle is close" the same female voice said laughing.

"Am coming"
Nina said as she heard a loud knock on her door
Walking towards the door, she glanced at the peephole to ensure it wasn't Logan. She deliberately turned off her phone to prevent any contact with him. Upon opening the door, she recognized her best friend Sarah and swiftly shut it behind her once Sarah entered.
"Nina what's wrong, I couldn't contact you for days, what's going on?"
Sarah asked.
"Have been gone for days?"
Nina asked confused as both girls went straight to the sitting room and sat down.
"What day is it?"
Nina asked again, not waiting for Sarah to respond to the question she asked previously.
"It's Friday, it's been five days have been trying to get to you"
Sarah said with concern.
That's when Nina realized she was unconscious for days after being bitten by Logan
Sarah was about to say something when her eyes widened with realization.
Her face shifted towards the mark on Nina's neck, the unmistakable symbol of a luna.

"Nice tattoo"
Sarah said, trying to see any uncomfortable reaction from Nina to confirm her suspicions.
"Thank you"
Nina said awkwardly.
"So I am right, how could this be Sarah thought to herself".
Sarah was trying her best to get information from her, knowing Nina had something to do with the werewolves
"She bloody has the mark of a Luna," Sarah thought in her mind angrily.
Sarah shifted close to Nina and held her hand giving it a gentle squeeze.
" You know you can tell me anything Nina, right?"
Sarah said, looking sincere.
But Nina did not respond.
"Am your best friend Nina" Sarah continued saying since Nina was not responding.
"Logan is a werewolf"
Nina finally blurted out.
A small smile could be seen on Sarah's face as she pretended to act surprised, she finally knew who the alpha was.
"But you can't tell anyone, please Sarah"
She said in a pleading tone.
Sarah immediately knew that she wouldn't be able to convince Nina to help her.
Nina was already in love with Logan, and the mating bond was stronger than it seems.
Sarah, you need to come up with an idea.
"Sarah think, think Sarah"
Sarah thought.
"You see this beautiful tattoo there, Logan bite me and it turns to that"
Nina said, pointing to the Luna mark.
"Wow"
Sarah said, acting surprised.
"But he bites me without even telling me "Nina continue talking
"I suppose to be scared and angry but I don't know why I even want him more"
Nina said
It must be the bite Sarah said to herself
She must have been infected Sarah thought with
Disgust.
Sarah, growing up in a family of werewolf hunters made her hate those innocent creatures even more.
"I think I should call him,"
Nina said as she started dialing Logan's number.
Immediately.
But Sarah quickly pulled the phone from her hands
"Your friend misses you, Nina"
She said making a cute expression.
"By the way am Famished"
Sarah said.
"I will go get you coffee first, hope you don't mind"
Nina said as she walked towards the kitchen.
"It's okay"
Sarah said loudly so Nina could hear her.
In the process of making the coffee, she sensed the presence of someone behind her
"Sarah could you pass the cream, I know you love it creamy"
Nina said smiling
She did not get any response, right before she could turn around, she felt a hard object hit her head.
She screamed painfully as she fell to the ground and blacked out.
